Mobiles Everywhere
Mobiles phones are now everywhere. These are with everyone every minute. Mobiles phones have
become very cheap, so it is no more problem to have it. Biggest advantage is that these can be
carried anywhere. We can talk to a distant person within seconds. You just have to dial his phone
number. Undoubtedly, mobile phones are a big help but these can become bad and harmful if used
unwisely. For example, bad characters are also using mobile for wicked purposes. Young boys and
girls keep chatting on phone for long hours, thereby wasting their precious time as well as parents
hard-earned money. No doubt, mobile phones are a blessing, but only if used judiciously. It all
depends how we use our mobiles. It is in our own hands to make it a boon or a bane.

HOLI
Holi is a very colourful and enjoyable festival. It is the festival of colours, fun and frolic. People
apply colours on each other faces. Children and some adults also play with coloured water. There is a

story about the festival. On this day, Prahlad, the child devotee of lord Vishnu, escaped from being
burnt to death while sitting in the lap of Holika. She had a boon which made her fire proof, when she
tried to burn Prahlad Vishnu got angry. Lord Vishnu took his boon. So Holika was burnt to death .I
eagerly await the Holi festival in March.

Murlidhar Devdas Amte, better known as Baba Amte, was educated to be a lawyer. One day,
when he was quite young, a fierce tiger attacked him in the forest. But he was not afraid and
somehow managed to escape. He was very proud of the courage he had shown until the day he
saw a leper living in ditch. He felt afraid to touch him and help him. It was then he realized that
he was not really brave person. What courage could he claim to have when he couldn`t help a
fellow human being? Amte took the leper home and treated him. This experience brought about a
drastic change in his life. He now began to devote himself to the service of the poor and the sick.
Amte gave up legal practice in 1949.He took training in Calcutta in the treatment of leprosy. He
then founded Anandvan, the forest of joy, a township near Nagpur in 1950. There is now new
hope for leprosy patient. From just a handful of patients in 1950 the number has gradually risen
to over two thousand.
