Sub: Vendor creation procedure in ERP post GST implementation - reg.

In view of implementation of GST, many processes in ERP are undergoing modifications. There are
some modifications in vendor creation procedure in ERP post GST implementation as detailed below:

1. Till now, an existing vendor code in any circle is being extended to the other. But, in GST regime,
the vendor code should be extended only if the vendor address and GSTIN matches the
requirement.
2. The address of the vendor codes that are already extended from other circles should not be
edited since the same might be used by them (other circles). Therefore, a new vendor master with
the required address may be created, if not existing at present.
3. All vendors, with whom GST applicable transactions are carried out, must be created using tcode
XKOl and not FKOL

4. Region field in vendor master plays an important role since the GST is based on region code (State
/ Union Territory).
5. GST Vendor classification (Registered, Not registered, Compounding Scheme or PSU/Govt.
organization) must be maintained in 'CIN Details' tab in vendor master.
6. GSTIN of the vendor must be maintained in 'Tax Number 3' field under 'Control' screen in the
'General data' of the vendor master.
7. Correlate and check the GSTIN and Region of the vendor. The new vendor master report (tcode
ZFIl-72_1) shall be used for the'same.
