AMARAVATHI SRI VENKATESA PAPER MILLS

ORGANIZATION PROFILE :

Amaravathi Sri Venkatesa Paper mill ltd (ASVPM) was established in


the year 1960 with the intention in paper manufacture for printing, writing
and news print. It has been started with a capacity of tons per day has grown
today into a group of five paper mills having the capacity of 350 tons per
day under the steering guidance of chairmen DR.V.GENGUSWAMY
NAIDU. Amaravathi group is situated on river bank of Amaravathi, near
Udumalpet, Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu, India.

Paper manufacturing business which are primarily recycles


wastepaper, has a capacity of 360 mts per day a huge leap since its humble
beginning of 10mts per day in 1964. The new concept of WASTE TO
HEALTH was perceived in early 70’s and continuous development. In
ASVPM group all varieties of writing and printing kraft, newsprint and
tissue papers are being manufactured.

It has production facility in two places unit I at Madathukulam, Tamil


Nadu makes quality news print first started in 1989, now this unit supplies
super deluxe 47 and 50 GSM. Unit-II started in 1999 an import from
Sweden is the state of the art machine. At present manufacturing 270mts
metric tons per day in five manufacturing units out of nine Machine. Hence
5000 metric tons per months from European countries, US, Singapore, Gulf
countries, etc. the production capacity of group mills is 90000 tons per
annum, comprising of various printing and writing papers. Newsprint,
speciality and industrial grades (good quality) is being exported to Srilanka,
Dubai, and other countries.

The quality standards of products have created a sustained demand in


the market. Product mix comprises of 30 standardized products and dealer
network comprises spreads all over India 80 dealers.

GROUP PROFILE

In 1933its core business, paper manufacturing business, which


primarily recyles wastepaper, has a capacity of 360 mts perday, a huge leap
since its humble beginning of 10.MTS per day in 1964 and the group from
its humble background, then has evolved progressively in to a 3.6 billion
INR conglomerate, having interests in paper, textile, finance, power –g.
Sri Venkatesa group envisaged by the illustrious founder,
philanthropist Sri. G.V.Govindasamy Naidu eneration, farming and a host of
educational & charitable.

Now looking to expand further. The group owns 2 textile mills one
primarily making coarse cotton yarn and the other fine – yarn, here too
expansions and modernization fund provided by the government enhance
efficiency.
