Dear Sir,
I am pleased to introduce the Andhra Pradesh Priorities Project, a partnership initiative of the Tata Trusts and the
Copenhagen Consensus Center. The project will conduct cost-benefit research and prioritisation across a
comprehensive development agenda for Andhra Pradesh. The aim of the Project is to provide the State
Government and the development community with a systematic process to help prioritise the most effective
development solutions. This will be achieved through academic research, stakeholder engagement and a targeted
outreach strategy. Ultimately, the people in Andhra Pradesh will directly benefit from the increased coordination
and shared consensus of identifying the smartest development solutions.
The project aims at meeting with stakeholders from the state government, including departments covering energy,
environment. health, rural development, education, nutrition, women and child development, etc., as well as with
civil society, think tanks, and academics. In this regard, we will be holding roundtables on different sectors across
Andhra with key stakeholders from government, civil society and academics.
It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the sector expert consultation on Gender conducted by the India
Consensus (A partnership between Tata Trusts and Copenhagen Consensus Center) on the 15th of November
(Wednesday) from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm in Guntur. Venue details will be intimated later.
The consultation will address the question:
What are the most effective solutions to address Gender issues in Andhra Pradesh?
Given your expertise in the sector, I am sure you will provide valuable insights to the discussion. The roundtable
will focus on the identified issues and provide a forum for you to suggest interventions and possible solutions in
overcoming challenges in Gender aspects in Andhra (briefing note attached). This will help us to identify
interventions for conducting cost benefit analysis research on as part of the India Consensus Project run by Tata
Trusts and Copenhagen Consensus Center.
Looking forward to your participation and an informed discussion with you.
Please do also join us for lunch between 1.00 and 2.00 at the venue.
Please reply with a line in confirmation.

Regards,
Saleema
