*@Sensory Table: Activity Description: Mirrors will be placed in the Mirrors (RR2)
Reflection! sensory table, with a light layer of water. Prism Prism Blocks (RR2)
blocks will also be placed in the sensory table. Bins (Kitchen)
There will be bins of water outside of the sensory Scoops (RR2)
table and scoops available as well.
IELG: Domain 2 Goal 18: Children demonstrate
strength and coordination of small motor muscles.
Child Objective: Children will develop fine motor
skills as they scoop water into the bins. They will
also be able to observe how the mirrors look
when water is poured on top of them. They will
also observe how the prism blocks look when the
light shines through them.
Intentional Teaching: Teachers can encourage
the children to participate in this center by
modeling and participating in self and parallel
talk with them.
Blocks: Outdoor Activity Description: The children will be able to Outdoor Blocks (Block
Blocks create different structures with the outdoor Shed large playground)
blocks.
Set up: Outdoor blocks will be set out near the
dramatic play area to encourage children to
extend play across both of the areas
Child Objective: The Children will be able to
practice making patterns as they create different
formations and structures out of the blocks.
Intentional Teaching: Teachers will model for the
children how to create certain structures.
*Dramatic Play: Fun Activity Description: An area of the playground Beach Day
in the Sun! will be set up as a beach day area where the Beach chairs
children can have fun in the sun! There will be Fantasy costumes
blankets set out with food on them for a picnic, Blankets
and beach chairs for the children to relax in the Food
sun in. There will also be a few house items such
as phones and purses. Costumes will also be set Phones
out. One of the small pools will also be set out, Purses
filled with balls to act as a pool! Pool

they engage in different roles and pretend that
they are at the beach or just enjoying the sun.

Creative Art: Activity Description: A bin filled with (giant) Bubble solution:
Giant Bubbles bubble solution will be set out for the children to 6 Cups Water
explore. There will be bubble wands as well as DIY 1/2 cup Dish Soap (dawn)
straw and string bubble wands available to 1/2 cup Cornstarch
create the giant bubbles. 1 TBSP Baking POWDER
Child Objective: Children will discover the (Kitchen)
different ways they can interact with light as they 1 TBSP Glycerin** (IWP)
observe the sunlight shining through the giant
bubbles, and creating a rainbow like effect.
Intentional Teaching: As teachers we will be
available to model for the children how we can
blow the giant bubbles, and also be there to
make sure no one is drinking the bubble solution.
2nd: Water Marbles Description: Water marbles will be added to the Water Marbles (RR2)
sensory table to extend play.
@Gross Motor: Description: There will be an obstacle course set Balance Beams
Obstacle Course up for the children. There will be hula hoops, Tunnels
tunnels, and balance beams. Hula Hoops
Objective: The children will develop gross motor (GG)
skills as they use their bodies to climb through the
tunnels and use the balance beams.
Intentional Teaching: Teachers can help the
children participate in this activity by modeling
and playing with them.
*2nd: Outdoor Water Description: The outdoor water table will be filled Scoops
Table with water and scoops will be available. Small Rocks
Set up: Teachers will fill water table and have (RR2)
some scoops and funnels available.
Objective: The children will explore cause and
effect by observing what happens as they plug
and unplug the water stoppers.

explores, and experiments with water, sand, and
mud.
Intentional Teaching: Teachers can model for the
children how the water goes away when you
unplug the water table.
3rd: Scavenger Hunt Activity Description: Magnifying glasses and Magnifying glasses (RR1)

Child Objective: The children will be able to
explore the playground with magnifying glasses
and binoculars.
Intentional Teaching: Teachers will show the
children how to explore this activity through
modeling.

Cellophane Collage Description: Teachers will each take children to a Colored cellophane

Objective: Children will work on their fine motor
skills by helping the teacher cut cellophane into OR Contact paper (WR)
strips, as well as peeling the back off of the self-
adhesive mounting boards. They will also be able
to explore light and colors as they observe how
the sunlight shines through the different colored
cellophane. They will also be able to observe the
different sounds that the cellophane makes as
they stick it to the boards.
IELG: The children will be able to coordinate fine
motor skills with auditory input, as they listen to the
sounds made by the colored cellophane while
they cut and stick it to the mounting boards.
Transition as small focus is wrapping up I will be in the circle area getting ready to invite the children
back. I will be singing where is thumbkin to invite the children over to the circle area.
