SWC Lesson Reflection (Completed after EVERY lesson taught)

Select (S):
Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing
I had 2 learning outcomes that I achieved I taught students to count from 1-10 and in the carpet I showed
students the directions of writing number 10.
Describe (D):
Who is the lesson for? The lesson was delivered to KG2 students and they are from 5 to 6 years old
Where did the lesson take place? In the classroom
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson? My goal was to engage the students while changing
my voice tone so that the lesson gets more interesting. Actually I'm satisfied because I achieved my goal
and all the students were engaged and enjoying the lesson.
What did the students do? Actually in the carpet time they all were engaged and answering my question
, and after that I separated them and gave them different activities to work on in the centers, they were
all helping each other and I was moving around and watching the children if they needed my help.

Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did? Because they were engaged and
excited.

How well did your teaching relate to the students prior understanding? My lesson was well delivered
and all the student were very excited while I'm teaching them and giving them the activities.

How well did you engage the students? I think that all the students were engaged because as I start
delivering the lesson, I sang one little finger song.

Appraise (A):
Explain the nature of the experience from the students perspective All students were active and
answering my questions , and what I like the most that I was asking the low achievers more than the high
achievers because I want all students to understand

Did your lesson meet your teaching goals? Yes, as I finish delivering the lesson I asked my MCT if the
students were engaged with me and she said yes.

Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future? Students will know how to write
the number 10 and they will also be able to say number 10 correctly.

What are the implications for your professional practice? I benefited a lot from this lesson , I did
activities that matches each students level and I felt that its very helpful for all the levels
