To download all recently updated files in the m2000 local client (desktop PC).

CONFIGURATION FILE (XML) Management or NE backup

Open Available nodes and select Node B

To Search a Site click on Search Icon
Then enter the site ID and search
Double click on site/Select/check
Select the most recent backup and click on DOWNLOAD TO OMC CLIENT.

GIVE IT LOCATION AND SAVE.

Be sure to use FTP or SFTP server.
DEVICE PANEL

Click on search icon and search for site ID

Double click and go to cabinet

Double click on BTS 3900 in cabinet

LICENSE MANAGEMENT

Search a site ID to see its license

Double click (two times)

It will show all the details of license

To upgrade the license or to change its value follow the procedure

Click on RNC to see a list of all the sites of that rnc.
This window shows all the available license on top window and 2nd
window shows all the sites with their values
To align the sites by their names click on NE name TAB

Lets suppose the below scnerio

U5160 need to upgrade its license like U5163 have.
For this double click on U5160 and a new window will open.

Now double click on each parameter SHARE value and change it to the
required value (as 5163 have).
When finish click on OK button.
Than select the newest license from license window.
Select the site from low window and click on distribute.
Lower part will show the progress and it will update license successfully.

ALTERNATE WAY OF COPYING LICENSE FROM ONE SITE TO ANOTHER IS;

Select Source Site
Press and hold the CTRL key and select Destination (where License to be
copied)

Right click on it and click on modify

Click OK

It will automatically copy all the parameters of source to destination.

Then click ok
This activity will go on upper as selected.
Now right click on it and distribute.

Than the progress can be seen in progress bar.

SOFTWARE MANAGEMENT
Go to softwareNE Upgrade Task Management NE Upgrade task

Go to createNodeB

Click on Search ICONenter the site ID whose SW to upgrade

Double click on it select (check the box) add selected NE

Give the task name

And click next

Now select the Software(check)select appropriate version

Check download and activate the software
Select and click next
Click finish to execute
Progress can be seen in software browser.
RNC Maintenance Client

It will open internet explorer in separate window

Click on emulation subrack to see its LED view-detail view for each
subrack.
Click on particular Ethernet port to check its status
Green are active and grey are not configured.
