Lesson Plan
Students have knowledge about sound /s/ and /a/. They also know words that start with these sounds and they know how to
write both sounds in capital and small cases. Students also learnt the morning routine in English in the first two weeks of
school. Students are able to say Im a boy/girl and their age
Lesson Activities: (What will students do in the lesson?)
Small groups activities:
Activity 1: In the group there will be two baskets and an envelope with different papers. On each paper there will be a letter
/a/ or /s/ and the other papers will have /a/ and /s/ pictures. Students will sort the /a/ and its pictures papers in /a/ basket and /s/
and its pictures in the /s/ basket.
Activity 2: Students will have different words flashcards that start with phoneme (a) or phoneme (s) but without writing the
first letter and there will be a picture that represent the word in front of it and there will be a basket that has different phonics.
Students will have to search for phoneme (a) or (s) and stick it on its place in the word.
Activity 3: In the group there will be a half ice cream flashcard with /a/ on it and other half ice creams with /s/ on it, also there
will be different ice cream flashcards with different pictures. Students will search for the other half of the /a/ ice cream and
stick it with it, they will also search for the other half of the /s/ ice cream and stick it with it
