PRODUCT WARRANTY
IECs warranty obligations are limited to the terms set forth below:
IEC warrants its IEC-branded product against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for
a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of purchase by the original end-user purchaser (Warranty
Period). If a warrantee defect arises within the Warranty Period, at its option, IEC will either (1) repair
the defect at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, or (2) exchange the product with a
product that is new or which has been manufactured from new or serviceable used parts and is at least
functionally equivalent to the original product, or (3) refund the purchase price of the product. A
replacement product or part, including a user-installable part that has been installed in accordance with
instructions provided by IEC, assumes the remaining warranty of the original product or ninety (90) days
from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage for the customer. When a
product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes customers property and the replaced item
becomes IEC's property. Parts provided by IEC in fulfillment of its warranty obligation must be used in
products for which warranty service is claimed. When a refund is given, the product for which the refund
is provided must be returned to IEC and becomes IEC's property.
The standard warranty on all materials supplied by IEC Infrared Systems is one year from date of
delivery. However, an initial (pre-installation) checkout (i.e., bench top test) of all systems must be
done by customer prior to installation in order to validate this warranty. This bench top test of
these systems is to confirm that all equipment is in proper working order BEFORE installation
commences and should be carried out within 3 weeks of delivery of the systems. IEC Infrared
Systems is not responsible for damage done to any products during shipping or installation.
If any items are found to be defective or inoperative due to materials or workmanship defects, IEC
Infrared Systems will (at its discretion) either repair or replace the defective item for a period of one year
from the date of delivery. The customer is responsible for dismounting the defective system and shipping
it to IEC Infrared Systems (for evaluation and repair), and for re-mounting it after the repairs are
completed. Failures due to improper installation, improper use or circumstances beyond manufacturers
control (e.g., blast damage from flying debris or shrapnel or other battle damage, overpressure loading
beyond the design limits, lightning strikes, or other conditions) are not covered by this warranty and
remain the customers responsibility.

EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS

This Limited Warranty applies only to products manufactured by or for IEC. IEC does not warrant that
the operation of the product will be uninterrupted or error-free. IEC is not responsible for damage arising
from failure to follow instructions relating to the product's use.
This warranty does not apply: (a) to damage caused by use with non-IEC products; (b) to damage caused
by accident, abuse, misuse, flood, fire, earthquake, lightning, or other acts of nature; (c) to damage caused
by operating the product outside the permitted or intended uses described by IEC; (d) to damage caused
by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of IEC
or an IEC Authorized Service Provider; (e) to a product or part that has been modified to significantly
alter functionality or capability without the written permission of IEC; (f) to consumable parts, such as
batteries, unless damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (g) if any IEC serial
number has been removed or defaced; or (h) product receiving battle damage or any form of vandalism.
In no event will IEC have any liability to any person or entity hereunder other than the Reseller, including
any customers of the Reseller.
To the extent permitted by law, this warranty and remedies set forth above are exclusive and in lieu of all
other warranties, remedies, and conditions, whether oral or written, statutory, express, or implied. As

permitted by applicable law, IEC specifically disclaims any and all statutory or implied warranties,
including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and
warranties against hidden or latent defects. If IEC cannot lawfully disclaim statutory or implied
warranties then to the extent permitted by law, all such warranties shall be limited in duration to the
duration of this express warranty and to repair or replacement service as determined by IEC in its sole
discretion. No IEC reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or
addition to this warranty.
Except as provided in this warranty and to the extent permitted by law, IEC is not responsible for direct,
special, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under
any other legal theory, including but not limited to loss of use; loss of revenue; death or personal injury
claims; loss of actual or anticipated profits (including loss of profits on contracts); loss of the use of
money; loss of anticipated savings; loss of business; loss of opportunity; loss of goodwill; loss of
reputation; loss of, damage to, or corruption of data; or any indirect or consequential loss or damage
howsoever caused including the replacement of equipment and property, any costs of recovering,
programming, or reproducing any program or data stored or used with IEC products and any failure to
maintain the confidentiality of data stored on the product. IEC disclaims any representation that it will be
able to repair any product under this warranty or make a product exchange without risk to or loss of the
programs or data.

WereWolf External Boresight Procedure

Introduction
This document outlines the external bore sighting process of a visual secondary payload to the
infrared primary payload on a WereWolf positioner.

There are no user serviceable parts within the system. For purpose of user and system safety,
under no condition should any control box or enclosure be opened.

Tools and Equipment

The following items are necessary to complete the procedure
1) Wrench (PN: 00940106000P)
2) 3/16 Hex Key T-Handle (PN: 37095A52)
3) Monitor
4) Control Interface (i.e. system hand controller or software interface)

Configuration Process
General Setup
STEP 1. Bolt down positioner, attach payloads, and make sure all cables are properly connected to
interface and power supply. Refer to Imager System Setup and User Guide Manual. Figure 1

STEP 2. If possible set up monitor and control interface to be accessible from behind the
positioner.

STEP 3. Identify target downrange 100ft+ based on the distances found in Figure 2. A simple
target can be created with metallic tape on a perpendicular wall.

Figure 2: Rear View of Werewolf positioner, 825mm IR primary payload and 500mm secondary payload, with horizontal/vertical distances
between camera centers (in inches).

STEP 4. All adjustments must be made with both cameras at full optical zoom. Enable crosshairs
and aim IR camera to its corresponding target position. Adjustments should bring secondary
visual crosshair to its center point to bring the optical paths parallel with each other.

Azimuth Adjustment
STEP 1. From behind the positioner, use wrench to break torque on jam nut. Referring to
engraved directions in Figure 3, apply torque clockwise towards the L.

Figure 3: Rear view of 825mm secondary payload

STEP 2. Using wrench, turn azimuth screw in desired direction, clock-wise for left or counter-
clockwise for right until the correct adjustment has been made. Each turn of the azimuth screw
will move the camera horizontally approximately 0.69 with a full range of 1.8.

STEP 3. After correct horizontal distance is achieved, tighten jam-nut against blind mate.

Elevation Adjustment
STEP 1. Loosen tension screw with 3/16 hex key.

STEP 2. Use 3/16 hex key to adjust elevation, using the directions engraved around the elevation
screw shown in
STEP 3. . Looking down at the screw, turn clockwise to raise the payload and counter-clockwise
to lower it. Each turn will move the image approximately 0.69 with a full range of 0.75.

Figure 4: Front View of 825mm secondary payload

STEP 4. After correct vertical distance is achieved, tighten tension screw.

Fine Tuning and Check

STEP 1. Repeat Azimuth and Elevation Adjustment steps as necessary.

STEP 2. Check camera at varying distances to ensure that the optical paths parallelism is
acceptable.
