3- As with all animals undergoing immobilization and any anesthetic procedure there is always inherent risk.
4- Use extreme caution when anesthetizing carnivores. For many medium and large carnivores, immobilization can be dangerous for both
professional handlers and animals. Some species have been observed to feign an anesthesia response. All anesthetized carnivores should be
carefully examined to ascertain the level of anesthesia and to determine when it is safe to approach them.
5- In most cases, no withdrawal periods for drugs used in wild animals have been determined. It is therefore incumbent upon the professional
veterinarian involved to prescribe an adequate withdrawal period for any drug used in wild and domestic animals that are intended for slaughter.
