My name is Olivia Mendoza; I am a 3 rd grade bilingual teacher with 15 years of

teaching experience at Vista Hills Elementary.
I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Marisol Terrones.
Marisol was an intern in our school for a period of 12 weeks. She would come into my
classroom on a weekly basis to observe my class. During that period of time she got to
observe class management strategies and she was able to experience guided reading
lessons as well as stations management.
I was able to notice that she is someone who is not afraid of asking for help or
clarification of questions that needed to be addressed. During that time she displayed
positive enthusiasm along with those qualities a person needs around kids. She was
attentive with the kids and understanding. The kids felt confortable around her and they
trusted her as someone who could help them with their questions.
She quickly became acclimatized with the classroom atmosphere and picked up
on those qualities a teacher needs to have to be successful in this rigorous environment;
she is a hard worker, responsible and driven person, overall a go-getter, someone to
whom teaching comes naturally.
With her relentless motivation and effort she will be a great asset at any campus.
