Lt. Simon Aju Sudhakar is the faculty incharge of the NCC Army at Loyola College. The NCC Army organized a child labor awareness campaign and weapons training. The contingent won championships in drill, cross country, and volleyball at the annual training camp. CSUO R. Aravindhan was selected to attend a personality development camp in New Delhi. CDT V.Rajesh was selected for the prestigious South Zone shooting competition. Two cadets underwent army training in Hyderabad. Six cadets attended state-level competitions. Twenty five cadets were selected for the Republic Day parade in Delhi.

Office Bearers : CSUO Aravindhan. K CUO Raghu. N CUO Udki Annaraj. R ACTIVITIES On August 25th 2008, Lt. Gen. Prakash S Choudry, PVSM, AVSM, VSM.SM then Director General, NCC from New Delhi visited our college. He delivered a lecture on the importance of Personality Development and motivated the cadets to take up the career in Anned Forces. This programme was attended by NCC cadets of various colleges as well students from various departments of our college. NCC Cadets of Loyola NCC Army also organized CHILD LABOUR AWARNESS campaign in Susaipuram Government School. On February 28th 2009, Weapon Training was organized by Loyola NCC Army on the college campus for the cadets from all the city colleges under the jurisdiction of 13 TN BN NCC. ACHIEVEMENTS The vibrant contingent of second year Loyola NCC Army cadets underwent their regular Combined Annual Training Camp in the month of June. They also won the overall Championships in Contingent Drill Obstacles, Cross Country running and Volley Ball. The camp was conducted by 13 TN BN NCC. SNIC CSUO R. Aravindhan of Dept of Sociology was one among the 12 cadets selected from Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Andaman Nicobar Islands Directorate to attend the Personality Development Camp in New Delhi Cantonment for the span of 25 days. This is the first time a camp of this nature was organized in India. SOUTH ZONE SHOOTING CAMP CDT V.Rajesh of Second year Loyola NCC Army was selected from MADRAS’B’ for participating in prestigious G.V.Mavlankar South Zone Shooting competition. He was commented by the Commanding Officer for his Excellent Shooting Skills. ARMY ATTACHMENT CAMP CDT. P. Ananth Baskar and CDT Joel Amudhan of second Loyola NCC Army underwent training for I S days with Madras Group of Engineers of Indian Army in Hyderabad. NATIONAL INTEGRATION CAMP CDT K. Praveen Kumar and CDT R. Shatish Kumar attended the National Integration Camp at Kolappakam in Chennai. STATE LEVEL COMPETITONS IGC-RDC : Six second year cadets attended directorate level Inter group competition held at Madurai. IGC-TSC : CDT S. Richards and CDT V. Rajesh, of second year Loyola NCC Army attended Thal sainik camp at Kancheepuram. REPUBLIC DAY PARADE ’09 Twenty five first year cadets of Loyola NCC Army were selected to the Tamil Nadu Dte NCC contingent for Republic Parade. Lt. Simon Aju Sudhakar ANO of Loyola NCC Army led the entire NCC contingent consisting of Army, Navy and Air Force cadets from various city colleges. NCC Army contingent was lead by Cadet S. Irson Anto on the Republic Day. NATIONAL LEVEL COMPETITION Cadet S. Richards of Dept. of English represented Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Andaman Nicobar Islands Directorate in Thal Sainik Camp held in New Delhi. NCC Army has maintained a tradition of sending cadets to REPUBLIC DAY parade every year.
