Brief overview of FoM Assignment

The company that we have chosen to do our Foundation of Management assignment is Bharti

Objective of the assignment:

To find out the best management practices practiced by Bharti Airtel in terms of leading,
controlling and coordinating.

Outline of the Company:

Bharti Airtel Limited is a leading global telecommunications company with operations in
20 countries across Asia and Africa. Headquartered in New Delhi, India, the company ranks
amongst the top 4 mobile service providers globally in terms of subscribers.
In India, the company's product offerings include 2G, 3G and 4G wireless services,
mobile commerce, fixed line services, high speed DSL broadband, IPTV, DTH, enterprise
services including national & international long distance services to carriers.

Work done:
We did some research about the company, its HR practices and the best practices
amongst all the practices followed by the Company.
Some of the topics covered so far are,
1. Gone through the history of the company.
2. Gone through the annual report of the company for the year 2016-17 and 2015-16.
3. Organizational structure of the company
4. HR practices of the company recruitment process, maintaining employee relationships
and employee retention policies.
5. Salaries of the top 50 employees and job done by these employees.
6. Effect of Reliance Jio on Bharti Airtel and its employees.
7. Attrition rate of Bharti Airtel and other telecom companies.

Future Plan of Action:

We plan to collect various data regarding the Control and Coordination practices
followed by Bharti Airtel so that we will be able to understand how they do the controlling and
coordinating job which sets them apart from other.
