rhythms.

2/4 (4 measures), (3 measures) and 4/4 (2 measures).

Ensure students are labelling their beats underneath!
Watch any mistakes in their note writing

Next, have students clap rhythms. Once rhythm is clapped

Lets Play
#2
Teacher Notes: During this portion, we will be working on putting our duet
Assessments/ together!
Differentiation
Go through each line fully again. Ensuring that students are
getting the feel/rhythm/beat back.

If it is a complete mayhem, work on sections (specifically

those that include eighth/ti rests) over and over. DRILL IT.

Next, play the duet with both parts! Count out loud when
needed to keep students on track.

Observe:
Students are properly gripping their sticks
Students are counting BEATS
Students are confident in their playing abilities
Do we know the rhythms? Can we relate them to
our simple terms or soda rhythms?

If students are successful, add in parts of the bucket

(changing some notes to rim, side or sticks) to create a
different feel.

Have students do this by going up to the SMART board

and write in the symbol
- Refresh students on symbols if they forget!

Closure

Learning: Students were able to achieve the best German grip as
possible.
