For the report:

The report should be done in the MEMO FORMAT. You should include the
worksheet as an attachment to the memo.

Assume that you work at an engineering firm and your supervisor (your TA) has
asked you to survey some laboratory equipment, namely oscilloscopes, multimeters,
and a computer-based DAQ workstation. You were sent to a training session to
become familiar with these devices and you need to report your findings to your
supervisor to convince them that he/she spent their money wisely.

Be sure to include brief descriptions of the functionality of each device. What are the
advantages/disadvantages of the equipment you used? What types of measurements
will you be able to perform as a result of attending this training session? Feel free to
include graphs as you feel appropriate, but recall they are only to be included as
attachments. Note that this assignment is slightly different than a typical memo
report in that the main result you should attempt to convey is that the workshop was
a success and prove that you indeed know how to use the devices specified.

Worksheet Questions (listed by lab handout section numbers):

Section 1.3:
b) Does the digital multimeter show peak Voltage (VP), peak-to-peak (VP-P), or RMS
(VRMS)?

Section 2.1:
b) Measure the resistance of the two resistors. Now measure the other resistor.
Record the values. How much do they vary from the expected values?

Section 2.2:
c) Connect the leads from the DMM across the output voltage (V0) and ground. Is the
voltage 5V?

d) How well does the measured value for V2 agree with your calculated value?

e) Does the voltage across R1 sum to V0? What is the error (if any)?

Section 2.3:
a) Calculate the expected current using the measured values of V2 and R2.

c) How well does the measured current agree with your calculated value?
