Dear Mrs. Lubeck,

I am Ciara Pysczynski, a senior at Greenbrier High School. I am writing to request your

mentorship for my senior project, for which I will be studying a career in theatre education. As
an actor for 12 years, I am dedicated to theatre and its place in our community. I have extensive
experience in acting, dancing, and voice, and through summer camp counseling I have begun to
learn the art of teaching these skills to others. I am hardworking and reliable; I will always get
the job done, no matter what life throws at me. Additionally, I am creative with a keen eye for
detail, even under high pressure, and, as a student with honors in both academics and theatre,
multitasking is what I do best. I believe that, as my mentor, you can help me grow even more as
an actor and theatre educator.
My work philosophy is to never go halfway when one could go all-out. I believe firmly in doing
the best job one can, and I always work hard to achieve this goal. I am responsible with grades
and with roles, so I will be a reliable employee. To this situation, I can bring a detail-oriented
perspective and my unique views as a young person. I am more passionate about theatre than
anything else; this focus will hone my skills and make me a better worker for you.
I have been acting since I was five, so it is most fitting that my senior project involves theatre.
My goal with this project is to produce a student play festival and demonstrate to the county the
importance of maintaining theatre in our schools. Studying theatre education will help me better
appreciate all that it takes to be a great theatre teacher. I want nothing more than to understand
the incredible amount of work that goes into coaching theatre students to success so that, should
I ever become an acting teacher, I will be the best one I can possibly be. I am certain your
expertise would help me achieve this goal just as I am certain I would be an excellent fit to work
for you.
