SCHOOL PROGRAM
Rwanda finds itself blessed with a huge number of children.
41% of the countrys population remains under the age of 14 years old
(thats almost 5 million children). King Salomon School (KSA) was
the vision of Bishop Emmanuel Ngendahayo and his late wife Vicki.
KSA is the only Anglican school in Byumba, and the only school in
the district with a clear Christian mission. There are currently 106
students attending King Salomon School.

[1] Tuition for a Student: $225

Send a child to school. Provide the school fees and a uniform for an
impoverished child to attend King Salomon Academy.
Uniform=$25 / Annual Tuition=$200

[2] The Shoe That Grows (1 pair) $15

Children need shoes! We have partnered with Because International
(Headquartered in Nampa, ID) and are providing each child at the school
with a Shoe That Grows. These shoes adjust up to 5 sizes and will
provide comfortable, ultra-durable foot protection for several years.

[3] School Supplies $30

Your gift will supply children with books in English and Kinyarwanda, art
and craft supplies, notebooks, pencils, and educational toys used in play
based education.

[4] A Month of Meals $50

Many of the students families are not able to provide meals for their
children while they are at school. Through nutritional programs
students are provided the needed energy to focus on learning.
LIVESTOCK
With over 80% of Rwandans living as subsistence farmers, livestock represent
security, and a reproducing investment. Not only do they provide nutritious
yields like meat, eggs, and milk, they also boost crop yields through the use of
their valuable manure.

[5] Two Chickens $10

An ongoing supply of high protein, eggs can change the life
of a rural family, especially for those with growing children.

[6] Rabbits (One Buck with Two Does) $15

Rabbits are a great farm investment due to their nutritious
meat, rapid production, relatively low-cost maintenance,
and high-quality manure.

[7] Goat $40

Goats are vital to a family's stability. When they are bred
and have kids, those kids can be sold providing a much
needed source of income. As with other livestock, families
given a goat are encouraged to give the first kid to another
family in the area that is experiencing economic hardship. In
this way, your initial gift keeps multiplying its effect over
time!

[8] Dairy Cow $500

Being given a cow is the equivalent of being given a new
business to run! Cows provide economic stability through
the milk they produce and the calves that they birth! In
Rwanda it is the greatest honor to give a friend a cow. When
a gifted cow gives birth, the recipient family gives the first
cow to a needy family in the community so that the
generosity they experienced will be multiplied. Subsequent
calves can be sold to provide an income for the family.

[9] Pig $50

Pigs are a valuable asset providing protein and income for
local families. Piglets can be weaned and sold in a relatively
short time span.
General Gifts

[10] Steel Roofing Sheet $8

Steel roofs not only keep the rain out but also protect the mud brick walls
from collapsing. Thirty sheets provide an entire roof for one house, but your
gift of any number of sheets is greatly appreciated and will go far to help
protect the health, property, and wellbeing of Hunga families.

[11] Clothing for a Prisoner (pair of pants and a shirt) $15

Many prisoners do not have any support from family and do not have
clothing to wear. Rev. Cedric Kanana ministers in the prisons weekly, and
many are coming to know the Lord and are being baptized.

[12] Kanyinya Land Purchase $7,000

The Government of Rwanda has required the church in Kanyinya to
purchase additional land grants in order to build the walls of the church.
Neighboring land is available for sale at a reduced price. Any amount will
help our brothers and sisters build their church which will also be used as a
school for local children.

[13] Hannah Ministry (Meals for a Month) $30

Hannah Ministry is an outreach program of the Byumba diocese. This
ministry cares for orphans and vulnerable children. Providing meals,
education, vocational training, and health insurance, with the aim of
sharing the hope of the Gospel.
Why Rwanda?
Gift giving is a wonderful and fun tradition that we share at Christmas. However, it is easy to lose sight of the
real reason for giving in the midst of all the packaging and paper! We give because God first gave us himself in
the incarnation of Jesus. He is Emmanuel, God with us!

In 2000, the Province de LEglise Anglicane au Rwanda, or PEAR (Anglican Church of Rwanda) gathered a group
of Anglican churches and Anglican missionary priests for a sustained mission in North America. Aiming to birth
mission-oriented churches within the Anglican tradition PEAR encouraged bold gospel proclamation and clear-
minded exposition of Scripture to both Christians and those not believing in Jesus who live in North America.

In 2008, as the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) was formed and incorporated into the Global
Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans through the inaugural GAFCON in Jerusalem, we joined in partnership with
the new province in America. While the organization and composition of the mission has shifted through the
past fifteen years, our mission in America has remained constant, embracing the reality of a global church whose
center has shifted to the Global South. Our fellowship embodies this shift: infused by the evangelical spirit of
the East African Revival, tangibly connected to the burgeoning global church, for local ministry in the places
where our God has called us as his witnesses (1 Peter 1.1-2).

In support of all that the Anglican Church of Rwanda has given to us spiritually, we now give to our sister parishes
in tangible ways that helps them make their communities safer and more self-sustaining.
