We decided to focus our attention on the loading and unloading phase of the dishes inside the rack.
Another problem usually in small kitchens the working surface is limited so weve thought to increase it.
Last to reduce human interaction is to make accessible the technical part of this applicant to the
technician.

Slide 4 - Stefano

Our first solution is a open top dishwasher with a sliding door that becomes a table to increase the working
surface. As we can see, to increase flexibility, we can decide to use the table even when the dishwasher is
closed. During the loading and unloading of the dishwasher the rack move on the table so we can directly
load the dishes in comfortable position. Even being sitting down.

Slide 5 - Stefano

This is a modification of the previous one where the top rotates among a pin, in this solution the door is not
used as a table and it is open only during loading and unloading. The elevation rack system allow the racks
to be in the same plane, in this way we solve the problem of the previuos concept that make the water
drop on the table where can be present food.

Slide 6 Umberto

In this slide we find 2 dishwasher concepts in which we try to take advantage of the presence of the sink
near the dishwasher. The dishes can be easily loaded inside the rack because the first rack flows on the
sink. We see in one concept the dishwasher can be also put in the angular position that usually is a difficult
place to manage. In the second versione we have a normal dishwasher.

Slide 7 Umberto

In this solution we find different rack for different stuff, there is a column rack for the dishes one for the
glasses and cutlery and there is another one for the pot. We are thinking about the layout of the rack. Alle
these are elevated so they can be easily filled.

This is a summary of our concepts for the dishwasher, all our ideas are top opening because we think that
could reduce a lot human interaction.

About the washing machine wee focus our attention on the load/unload phases of the clothes inside the
drum and on the bending of the user. These are our solutions.

Slide 10 Andrea

In this slide we see an automatic movable door which allow to load clothes in the drum. At the end of the
washing the 2 bottom doors opens while the drum slowly rotate allowing the unloading of the clothes on
the movable door. Finally the door lift with the wet clothes minimizing the risk connected to bending.

This is a top loading machine, to charge it we have only to put the basket on the top of the machine and to
unload it we have a drawer on the bottom in which a basket is contined. On the top there are 2 sliding door
and the basket is closed with a cylindrical sliding door.

Slide 12 Manimala

The left one works like the previous one but is ok also for built-in washing machine. On the right we have
the washing machine that simply use the door as a basket, so during the loading we can directly put the
basket in the ring and close it with the basket.

are discharged from the lowe path and the door can lift them up
