 Overview
Huawei's OptiX Mini-SDH series are cost-effective CPE (customer premises
equipment). OptiX Mini-SDH series can be deployed in mobile network
transmission (BTS, Node B), PDH network substitution, leased lines for
enterprise customers and access network. Using such an effective network-
ing solutions based on OptiX Mini-SDH products, you can not only slash and
save network investment at preliminary construction stage, but also can
achieve quicker and higher ROI (Return on Investment). Fig.1

Key Features and Benefits of the Mini-SDH:
Higher Integration, Saving Space
All of Huawei`s OptiX Mini-SDH adopt self-developed 0.18µm ASIC chips.
By using this chip, Huawei offers its products not only with high integration
and complete functionality,but achieves a high performance-cost ratio.

Flexible Installation & Power Supply

To satisfy the various and complicated installation environments in access
layer of MAN,flexible installation methods are provided in Mini-Metro,
including wall, desktop, rack mount(19"or 23") installation. -48V/24V/60VDC,
110V/220V AC power supplies are optional.Low power consumption and
heat dissipation allow operators to install or upgrade equipment without
increasing costs for upgrading power and cooling devices.

MSTP(Multi-Service Transport Platform)

All of Huawei`s OptiX Mini-SDH support multi-services(SDH,PDH,ATM,IP/
Ethernet) transmission and management on the same platform. They offer
a total network solution in statistical multiplexing,VLAN,and L2 switching,
whilst,they support GFP encapsulation and LCAS/CAR, a cutting-edge
data technology in transmission equipment.In this way,the system not only
saves space and cut maintenance cost, but also greatly improves the
reliability and maintainability of the network.(Fig.2)

Last Mile Solution--Flexible POP Access

All lf Huawei`s OptiX Mini-SDH can provide excellent last mile solutions.
Shown as Fig.3 below,the separate BTS is not accessible to fibers.Using
SHDSL technology, the nodes can be easily connected to the nearest BSC
by twisted-pair cable with a distance of up to 3.5KM. In addition, Ethernet
Optical interface in OptiX Mini-SDH can extend FE interface access to
15KM away.

NMS Interconnection solutions

flexible NMS interconnection solutions to address
the problem of the Multi-vendor`s network
economically, such as, DCC swapping, DCC map-
ping technology, and OSI over DCC, SNMP inter-
