2017 NCOSSCA - Sr.

All Star Games:

The 2017 NCOSSCA Sr. All Star Games were held on November 12th at Perkins High School Firelands
Regional Medical Center Stadium. It was a cool, overcast day, but that didnt dampen a great day of
soccer.

The Girls game was first with the Home Team (white jerseys) coached by Kevin Sisak (Sandusky) and
Renee Williamson (Oak Harbor). The Home Team was represented by girls from District teams in the
Sandusky Bay Conference (SBC). The Away Team (dark jerseys) was coached by Zac Huff (Madison) and
Trent Heckman (Ashland). The Away Team (aka The Dark Side) was represented by girls from District
teams that are not members of the SBC. The Home team found the net first when Hayden Petee (Huron)
scored off an assist from Kaylee Penton (Vermilion). The Dark Side responded when Abigail Adams
(Lexington) scored the first of her two goals with a hard volley from just outside the top of the 18 yard
box. The Away Team added three more on goals by Nikki Schuster (Ashland), Adams 2nd and Tara
Andrews (Madison) for a 4-1 final score. Abigail Adams (Lexington) was selected as the games MVP.

The Boys game followed with the Home Team (white jerseys) coached by Kurri Lewis (Edison), Matt
Asher (Huron) and Sahen Fultz (Clyde) vs the Away Team (dark jerseys) coached by Chris McClenathan
(Ontario) and Jim Fossie (Firelands). The Home Team was represented by boys from District teams in the
Sandusky Bay Conference (SBC). The Away Team was represented by boys from District teams that are
not members of the SBC. This game was an offensive explosion with 10 goals scored and the Home
Team coming out on top 7-3. The Home team was led by Jared Depner (Port Clinton) with 2 goals while
Nick Lombardi (Edison), CJ Koller (Vermilion), Sebastian Sivongsak (Willard), Nick Damron (Oak Harbor)
and Erich Taubennestler (Huron) adding one goal each. The Away team got a couple goals from Michael
Douzos (Firelands) and one from Owen Rozanc (Brookside). CJ Koller (Vermilion) was selected the
games MVP as he added two assists along with his one goal.

The Referees for both games were Eric Saterfield and Allan Loury. Eric was voted as our District Referee
of the Year. Thanks to all involved in making this a great event.
