INTRODUCTION
AIJ Project Cost Consultants is a 100% Namibian owned and 75% previously
disasdvantaged company established in November 2009 by Americo De Almeida,
Isak Nahum and Jorik Botha.

We aim to be the first people clients come to when investing in the built and natural
environment. As a majority black-owned company, our goal is to work with clients
through every stage of the development process, providing managed solutions for
clients investing in infrastructure, property and construction.

Our core services are cost, program and project management, complemented by
a wide range of specialist consultancy capabilities including quantity surveying;
engineering cost management; specification consulting; facilities management; value
and risk management; and sustainability management.

In order to adhere to our social responsibility of skills transferring and education,

we are also involved in the provision of financial support to talented students from
previously disadvantaged backgrounds whose dreams are to join the QS profession
as well as providing training to those who need it to enhance their professional skills.

Carel Van Wyk Quantity Surveyor
(Registered Quantity Surveyor)
Carel is a graduate of the University of
Potchestroom (North West). He brings with
him a wealth of work experience gained over
a 30 year period.
Carel is a respected Quantity Surveying pro-
fessional and is a member of Institute of Na-
mibian Quantity Surveyors, Namibian Council
for Architects and Quantity Surveyors and is
also a member of the Qualifications Sub Com-
mittee of Namibian Council for Architects and
Quantity Surveyors.
He has an impeccable work ethic that often
sees him putting in extra hours into his proj-
ects and going the extra mile for clients.
His passion includes reading, camping and ca-

Vavarirai Tagarira Quantity Surveyor
Vavarirai completed his BSc Honors in Quan-
tity Surveying from the National University
of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe. He
is currently working towards PMP certifica-
tion with the Project Management Institute.
Over the years, he has gained practical
experience of all facets within Construction,
Quantity Surveying, Project Management,
Safety Health and Environmental Systems
through participation in different types of
projects that include civil, industrial, com-
mercial and residential developments.
Vavarirai worked for Murray and Roberts
Construction (Zimbabwe) before joining AIJ
in 2013.
He has an interest in exploring the outdoors,
camping and is a keen guitarist.
Chido Dondo Quantity Surveyor
After completing her Honours Degree in
Quantity Surveying from the National Uni-
versity of Science and Technology (NUST)
in Zimbabwe, Chido achieved her Master of
Philosophy in Construction Economics and
Management from the University of Cape
Town (UCT) in 2011.
Chido brings with her a blend of great com-
munication and analytical skills honed during
her time working as an assistant Quantity
Surveyor for a building contractor in Cape
Town and as a tutor for the Department of
Construction, Economics and Management
at the University of Cape Town .
She has an interest in charity work and is a
keen traveller.

Stanley Mwashekele Quantity Surveyor
Stanley holds a BTech in Quantity Surveying
from the University of Johannesburg. He
has seven years of work experience in
quantity estimation, preparation of interim
payment certificates / progress bills and their
certification, verification of subcontractor
submitted bills, preparation / certification
of variation orders, preparation of enquiries
and their subsequent reviewing for subletting
works and cost controlling on-going projects
with different companies at different Mega

Stanley possesses good communication and
problem solving skills which enabled him to
maintain good relations with contractors/
developers. He has managed a number of
projects and has the required skills and
experience to be a real asset at AIJ.

Langton Nthala Quantity Surveyor
Langton completed his BSc Honors in Quan-
tity Surveying from the National University
of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe . His
currently perusing his Masters of Science in
Project Management from the University of
Cape Town and a PMP certification from the
Project Management Institute.
He joined AIJ in 2013 from Stefanutti Stocks
Botswana, were he worked as a Quantity Sur-
veyor in civil, commercial, government and
private development. Langton has experience
in the fields of Quantity surveying, Project
Management and Infrastructural develop-
ment. Langton is a good communicator and
strategist.
His interest are Travelling and learning new
cultures , social networking and anthropology.
Ephraim Takaza Quantity Surveyor
Ephraim completed his Bachelor of Science
(Hons) Degree in Quantity Surveying at the
National University of Science and Technology.
He has overall working experience of six years
working experience working for construction
companies and Quantity Surveying firms. He
is a confident, determined and results oriented
person who has managed a large number of
projects.
He has a great passion for reading, soccer and
chess.
Margaretha (Grietji) Rossouw
Quantity Surveyor - PrQS
Margaretha (Grietjie) is a Namibian who
graduated at the University of the Free State,
South Africa. She has been working in the field
of quantity surveying, project management
and construction since 1993 and is a Profes-
sional Quantity Surveyor for the past 8 years.
She is registered with the South African Coun-
cil for the Quantity Surveying Profession as a
PrQS and is a professional member with the
Association of South African Quantity Survey-
ors (PMAQS).
Margaretha has extensive experience in the
Construction Industry and has managed major
projects while serving as an Office Manager
and Senior Professional Quantity Surveyor at
her previous employment in South Africa.
She also has a passion for mentoring student
and quantity surveyors in training.

AIJs committment to Namibias development is evident in our sponsorship of new students within the quantity surveying profession. Our

Currently, we support Lerato Shovaleka and Tateati Shapalo, who are both Quantity Surveying students at the Cape Peninsula University
of Technology (Cape Town). Tuna Amutenya, Cecyllia Amuela, Guilherme Chonhi and Johanna Kapapero are distance students, at the
