Advertisement Proposal

For this project I will be creating 3 examples of different formats in advertising based around a
music video, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of my specialism across the three chosen
formats using codes and conventions of each such as, minimal wording and large branding/
stand out imagery for billboards, information and visually stimulating magazine ads and
interactive and visual online ads with links and movement in the form of GIFs or Cinemograph. I
will create each with examples of planning and demonstrate alternate ideas for each. I have a
week to complete each project and should look to be finished on the 15th of December.

Case study 1: Billboard

Create a Billboard based around the music


video, demonstrating the codes and
conventions by using large stand out
wording with minimal use leaving an
impression on the audience while still
being relevant to my product. I am using
this format to demonstrate that different
formats can follow different codes.

Case study 2: Magazine ad

Create a Magazine ad based around the music video,


demonstrating the codes and conventions by using more
information and reading material paired with visually stimulating
imagery including positive and negative space , high key lighting
and high budgets highlighting the subjects importance.

Case study 3: Online Ad

Create an online ad in the form of a cinemograph, including the codes and


conventions online ads by including stimulating visuals and movement,
interactive links and aesthetic imagery relevant to my product.
