LUCIDLOGIX* VIRTU* SOLUTION USER GUIDE

What Is Virtu?

Virtu allows the systems to simultaneously take full advantage of both the low-power best-in-class
media processing features of the 2nd generation Intel Core processor graphics and the 3D gaming
performance of add-in cards with graphics processing units (GPU).

With Lucids Virtu it is now possible to run one or two discrete GPUs and still utilize the transcoding
performance and lower power of the 2nd generation Intel Core processor.

How does Virtu Work?

Virtu works in two flexible configurations: User has the choice of using either video output on the
desktop board or to directly connect to the discrete GPU. Refer to the table below on specific features
supported by each configuration:

i-Mode d-Mode
(Monitors attached to a desktop (Monitors attached to a graphics
board connector) card connector)

Intel Quick Sync Video

Intel Insider X

Add-in Graphics Card

Processing for Games

NVidia* PhysX*

Additional features on add-in graphics cards may or may not be supported

In both cases Virtu allows enjoying capabilities of discrete GPUs. To learn more about Virtu visit
