quality at point 7 is greater than the quality at point 6 by 0.15,
calculate:
a) COP

3. An R-717 refrigeration plant having a capacity 700 kW is working
between an evaporating pressure of 0.45 MPa and a condensing
pressure of 1.3 MPa. The liquid leaving the condenser is subcooled
8oC through a liquid-suction heat exchanger. The vapour leaves the
evaporator 50C superheat and gains a further 5oC of superheat in the
suction line to compressor. The compression is polytropic of index =
1.2. Allow a pressure drop in both compressor suction and delivery
valves of 0.03 MPa and assume that the vapour is superheated 100C
in the cylinders on the intake stroke. Determine:
