ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I Tauseef Ahmad, student of LL.M. 1st year (2016-2017), owe my heartfelt allegiance towards the
Almighty, because of whose blessings this project has got the Finale line. I express my gratitude
towards my subject lecturer Dr. Mohammad Asad Malik, for assigning me this project work.

My topic falls under Unit-2 of the subject Comparative Criminal Procedure entitled as
Fundamental human rights and their protection, relation to criminal procedure of India,
England and America: Rights of the Accused. The Comparative Criminal Procedure as a subject of
study, at the masters level in law expect the students to understand common attributes of various
criminal procedures of the world. It helps systematically, to know, learn and compare the various
criminal justice providing procedures. Learning comparatively about procedural technicalities will
broaden and deepen the knowledge of the setup of different countries. Our subject is concerned with
Englands and the U.S.A.s criminal procedures and the criminal justice delivery system. This will
help us, the students, to enhance our basic understanding of our own criminal procedure while globally
expanding our understanding of other principles of criminal justice.

To cover and touch each quarter of the topic I had gone through various books, papers, articles, and
various internet websites. I would like to give thanks to my seniors and classmates who have guided
me in completing this project work, either expressly or impliedly.

As efforts have been made to make the project the best and exhaustive on the topic, any flaws and
lacunas should be pardoned. I am open for any suggestions that would make this research much more
extensive. I will keep on working hard to be at par of your expectations.

Tauseef Ahmad
