INVENTED PHONES,
BUT HE NEVER MADE A CALL TO HIS FAMILY.
BECAUSE HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER WERE DEAF.
THAT'S LIFE - " LIVE FOR OTHERS " .
THE WORST IN LIFE IS "ATTACHMENT "IT HURTS WHEN YOU LOSE
IT.
THE BEST THING IN LIFE IS " LONELINESS "
BECAUSE IT TEACHES YOU EVERYTHING AND
WHEN YOU LOSE IT, YOU GET EVERYTHING.
LIFE IS NOT ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO ACT TRUE TO YOUR FACE,
ITS ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO REMAIN TRUE BEHIND YOUR BACK.
Today is one. Unique and exclusive! The 24 hours, which form today, is the most
precious element of time where in we can create some thing. The ‘doing’ is possible
today only. We cannot do any thing in future. We certainly can not do any thing in
the past.
What is the use of living in the past? We, Indians are the ultimate masters of this
habit. We talk of our glorious past, traditions, which tells the world that we have very
little to talk about our today.
How often we plan to do something from today? How often we really do the planned
thing today? Those who do things on ‘today’ are the people who rule the world;
those who do not do are ruled. What we do today, can become a perfect yesterday
or a horrible past. Our today can become a foundation of perfect tomorrow, but both
these days are heavily dependent on what we do today. What we can do today we
could have done yesterday.
Robert Jones Burdette, the famous writer of ‘hawkeyetems’ says that there are two
days in every week we should not worry about, two days that should be kept free
from fear and apprehension. One is yesterday, with its mistakes and experiences, its
faults and blunders, its aches and pains or with accomplishments we can be proud
of. In both cases Yesterday has passed, forever beyond our control. All the money,
all the efforts of the entire mankind in the world cannot bring back yesterday. We
cannot reverse a single act we performed. Nor can we retract from a single word
we've said - yesterday is gone, for good or bad.
The ‘other’ day we should not worry about is tomorrow, with its possible adversities,
possibilities, promises, performances promised and anticipated burdens.
Tomorrow the sun will rise, either in clear blue sky or it may hide behind a mask of
clouds but mercifully it will rise. And until it does, we have no stake in tomorrow, for
it is yet unborn. We may not say for certain that we would see tomorrow. The
classical expression of ‘If Tomorrow Comes’ probably sums up every thing.
This leaves only one day - today. Any person can fight the battles of just one day. It
is only when we add the burdens and /or baggages of yesterday and fears of
tomorrow that we break down. We succumb to desperation, de-motivation and
deactivation. It is not the experience of today that drives people mad - it is the
remorse of bitterness for something that happened yesterday and the dread of what
tomorrow may bring. The fear of unknown is very obvious in the case of tomorrow.
We very rarely realize that what ever we can do today may improve our tomorrow.
And most of us even when realize hardly do any thing about the same.
Some unknown author has very rightly said “Today is the tomorrow we worried
about yesterday.” Prof. Leo Buscaglia, (the author of books such as Living, Loving
and Learning and Born for Love) said that: ‘Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow,
it only saps today of its joy’.
Whatever we can do today we should do today, all plans for mending today’s
mistakes tomorrow is a folly as that tomorrow hardly ever comes. We have to plan
for a better today to have a better tomorrow. We have to be persistent to execute
the plan so that we have some thing to look up to and be proud of our yesterdays.
Let us, therefore, live to the fullest one day at a time! Let this day – Today- be the
day of action. Let us do something good which ensures a perfect salvation. Let us
always remember that millions of yesterdays have gone in the past, millions of
tomorrows are to come but there is only one today, so let us enjoy the ‘today’.
