What is Electric Motor In Simple Way

Electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. But its not easy to understand.
Take an example, you want fan and you just use switch, fan starts rotating. From morning to
night we all surrounding by electric motor Sitting in front of computer there are two motor for
starters, one in hard drive and other one in cooling fan. Even in home we are using fan, washing
machine, microwave, mixer etc. Without all this its difficult to passing a single day. So, we
should know how electric motor works or basic principle of electric motor.
There are two types of motor
1. AC Motor
2. DC Motor
Working Principle:
In this principle we are using Flemings low
Flemings low:

In above image you can see while 1st finger showing direction of field and 2nd figure in the
direction of current then your thumb will show the motion means direction of wire movement.
A current caring conductor while passing a magnetic field, your left hand thumb will show the
direction of motion.
Same in motor has two part
1. Stator
2. Rotor
This Stator work as a permanent magnetic field and rotor has winding which are connecting
with a battery. When switch on winding will act as an electromagnet and will react with
permanent magnet in the stator.
When repair required
1. Maintain a uniform air gap
2. Keep the bearings properly and change bearing at intervals
3. Always Keep the motor clean and dry
4. Due to over voltage wire can burn so maintain high resistance at all the time
