Discipline Strategies/Rules and Consequences

Rule Consequence

Keep our classroom a healthy learning Students who disrespect peers and/or the

environment for yourself and others. Be teacher will be removed from the classroom

considerate of one anothers feelings, immediately. Depending on the severity of the

cultures, and learning experiences. misbehavior, student will be reported to

administration.

Be a positive influence and take responsibility Students who blatantly cause classroom

for your actions. disruption will be given a warning for a first

and second offense. On the third offense, the

student will move from their seat to sit next to

the teacher, and write an apology letter to the

class. If the offenses are repeated daily, a note

will be sent to the parent/guardian on the

fourth day of documented interruption within

the school quarter.

Think big and strive to be a changemaker! Students with consistently low scores and

participation will be called upon to participate

in more class discussions and stay for after-

school help with assignments until an

improvement is seen.

Maintain a positive attitude. Believe in Students who bring down the classroom

yourself and others! atmosphere with negative talk or actions will

 be asked to move to the thinking corner until

their attitude changes. Students who diminish

the work of others will be asked to stop in

class, and must talk to the teacher after school

about changing their behavior. If the behavior

repeats, it will then be dealt with as a bullying

issue.

Be ready to join our learning voyage each Come to class with all required materials for

day! the lesson that day. Missing equipment more

than once may result in deduction of

participation points at the teachers discretion.
