5. To study the choice of average flux density in air gap & ampere
conductors per meter in a 3- phase induction motor.
6. To derive the output equation of 3- phase induction motor. Also
compare the squirrel cage & wound rotor motors.
7. To study the relative size of 1- phase & 3- phase induction motors
and also discuss the main dimensions of 1- phase induction motor.
8. To study the different starting methods of 1- phase induction motor.
9. To study the choice of specific magnetic & electric loadings of a
synchronous motor.
10. To study the O.C.C. & S.C.C. of a synchronous motor & obtain
the S.C.R. and its effect on the performance of synchronous machine.
