RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

Jing is an application in which a small yellow circle remains at the top of the computer screen allowing for instant access for video
or picture capturing, album viewing, and settings. This allows for the user to capture their screen while also speaking in the video,
describing what they are doing on the screen, saving their videos and posting them.

INTEGRATION/IMPLEMENTATION IDEA - SCREENCASTING

How might you use this resource to promote student learning? Describe who will be doing the screencasting you or your
students, and what purpose it will serve.
Jing is exceptionally helpful for students who may have missed class or did not necessarily understand the content while in
person. I would use Jing to take students on a virtual tour at home of a WWII website so they could be prepared for class the next
day.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
Given the information above, how would the technology integration you described, using the selected resource? (On the
Value-Added Rating Scale above)
Explain your rating based on the indicators on the rubric.

I would rate Jing a 2. It is a great resource for additional learning, but it should not necessarily be a prime focus for a lesson. It
could be a tool or an option, such as getting students ready for a lesson or helping them follow up at home.
