First conditional,second conditional and third conditional

1.understanding first conditional is used when a conditional sentence which result /

consequence (result) of a condition (condition) are likely to materialize in the future

because of its realistic condition to be met.

2.Conditional formula type 1:

if + condition, result/consequence

if + simple present, (will + bare infinitive)/imperative

3.Example Sentence Conditional Sentence Type 1:

(+) a. If I have free time, I will go swimming.

b. If the bell rings, Ill go home.

c. If you meet Andy, ask him to call me.

(-) a. If you dont finish your homework, your teacher will be angry.

b. If he doesnt come, I wont be angry. / Unless he comes, I wont be angry.

1. Conditional sentence type 2 or the second conditional is a conditional sentence which is

used when the result / consequence (result) of a condition (condition) have no or only little

chance to materialize because of his condition can not be met in the present (present

unreal situation) or its condition difficult to be met in the future (unlikely to Happen).

1. Conditional sentence type 3 conditional or third conditional sentence is used when the

result / consequence (result) of a condition (condition) there is not likely to happen because

of his condition must have been met in the past.

if + past perfect, would/should/could/might have + past

participle

3.Example Sentence Conditional Sentence Type 3:

Conditional sentence type 1 atau first conditional adalah conditional

sentence yang digunakan ketika result/consequence (hasil) dari condition

(syarat) memiliki kemungkinan untuk terwujud di masa depan karena

condition-nya realistik untuk dipenuhi.

2. Rumus Conditional Sentence Type 1:

1. Pengertian Conditional Sentence Type 2

Conditional sentence type 2 atau second conditional adalah conditional

sentence yang digunakan ketika result / consequence (hasil) dari condition

(syarat) tidak memiliki atau hanya sedikit kemungkinan untuk terwujud karena

condition-nya tidak mungkin dipenuhi dimasa sekarang (present unreal

situation) atau condition-nya sulit untuk dipenuhi di masa depan.

2. Rumus Conditional Sentence Type 2

if + simple past, would/could/might + bare infinitive

3. contoh Kalimat Conditional Sentence Type 2 :

Conditional sentence type 3 atau third conditional adalah conditional

sentence yang digunakan ketika result / consequence (hasil) dari condition

 (syarat) tidak ada kemungkinan untuk terwujud karena condition-nya harus

sudah dipenuhi di masa lalu.

2. Rumus Conditional Sentence Type 3

Rumus conditional sentence type 3 menggunakan past tense dimana

membicarakan sesuatu yang tidak terjadi di masa lampau.
