Objectives:
1. Create a show that instills family values and emphasizes the importance of bonding with

the family.
2. Provide a venue where audiences can see a glimpse of the lives of the celebrity families.
3. Encourage the Filipino audience to develop a family hobby and be able to learn new and

exciting things with this.


4. Stimulate viewership by putting up a motivation in the form of a token from the guest
celebrity family for every episode.
5. Provide airtime for advertisers of which some of the celebrity families are endorsing.

Program Description:

Family Sundate is a reality show that candidly features Filipino celebrity families.
Inspired by the current trend of viral pictures and video clips of celebrity families in various social
networking sites, this reality show does not only give viewers and avid followers the chance to
see their idols on television but also to engage further and deeper in their personal family lives.

The program title is a reflection of a Filipino notion that Sundays are for family. Its the
perfect day to catch up with loved ones and spend the whole time bonding before a busy
Monday. May be an ordinary family or a celebrity family, the definition of Sundays stays as it is.

An ordinary Filipino family would go to church in the morning, out for lunch and would
typically spend the Sunday afternoon in the mall with the family or somewhere nice to relax
before Monday begins while some would just stay at home watching television together. Its also
the best day for mom to cook a sumptuous lunch for the whole family and eat together in one
big table. The program would also like to reflect that celebrity families are perhaps just like any
other ordinary family in spending time with their families.

The program also extends in engaging the audiences

This program targets viewers are women and men from age groups 20-50 years old who
foster their own family.

ABS-CBN is one of the countrys leading television network station. The network has
served the Filipino people for more than 60 years and has produced a lot of legendary soap
operas, reality shows and game shows that have truly left a mark in the entertainment industry.

According to an article by the Philippine Chronicles Online, the public and the media
have been smitten by several celebrity families. Fans are always eager to learn more about
celebrity families on and off camera. Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and
Instagram make it possible for celebrities to share fragments of their lives with their followers.
Many companies are turning to celebrity families to endorse their products because of their wide
fan base. (Yapchiongco, 2014). The statement implies that technology has revolutionized the
dynamics of the entertainment business in the Philippines opening opportunities not only for
advertising but also for stardom. We all know that the media industry thrives through
advertising. It is one of the most important factors that brings success to a network.

While the internet is fast-growing and television remains to be the medium with widest coverage
and reach, a program that utilizes both strengths, hypothetically, is most promising.
