INTRODUCTION

A rectifier was used for converting ac to dc. The purpose of rectifier is to produce an output
that is purely dc. There are two type of rectifier which is half-wave and full-wave rectifier. The
different between them is the output they were produced. Half-wave rectifier is the type of
rectifier that rectifies only one half cycle of the waveform either positive or negative cycle
while full-wave rectifier will rectifies both half cycle of applied input voltage.
There are two type of full-wave which is the bridge rectifier and the center-tapped
transformer rectifier. Bridge rectifier built with four diode while center-tapped rectifiers only
use two diode but the output of them is same.
