Here are some AdiShankaracharya Thoughts and AdiSankaracharya Teachings to

remember on this auspicious occasions of c
.

These are some excerpts from c .

From Satsanga (knowledge of the Truth) comes non-attachment, from non-attachment

comes freedom from delusion, which leads to self-settledness. From self-settledness
comes JivanMukti (liberation).

Do not boast of wealth, friends, and youth. Each one of these are destroyed within a
minute. Free yourself from the illusion of the world of Maya and attain the timeless
Truth.

You get joy, Of meditation or passion, Or you get joy, In solitude or in company, But All
these are but impermanent. Try to make your mind one, With Para Brahmam, That is
the only permanent joy.

Oh mad man! Why this engrossment in thoughts of wealth? Is there no one to guide
you? There is only one thing in three worlds that can save you from the ocean of
samsara. Get into that boat of Satsangha (knowledge of the Truth) quickly.

Here are some more famous Quotes by AdiShankaracharya from his great composition
TattvaBodha (The Awakening to Reality).

c
What is inquiry into the Truth? It is the firm conviction that the Self is real, and all, other than
That, is unreal.

Knowing that I am different from the body, I need not neglect the body. It is a vehicle that I use
to transact with the world. It is the temple which houses the Pure Self within.

The jiva (living being) is endowed with ego and his knowledge is limited, whereas Ishwar is
without ego and is omniscient.

Quotes by AdiSankaracharya on Brahman - Guru AdiShankara Wise Quotes & Sayings

"The fool thinks, µI am the body¶;

The Intelligent Man thinks, µI am an individual soul united with the body.¶
But the Wise Man, in the greatness of his knowledge and spiritual discrimination,
Sees the Self as the only reality and thinks, µI am Brahman.¶"

Here is one thoughtful saying by Guru AdiSankaracharya about Lord Shiva.

"Forgive me
Oh, Shiva
My three great sins!
I came on a pilgrimage to Kashi forgetting that, you are omnipresent.
In thinking about you I forgot that, You are beyond thought.
In praying to You I forgot that, You are beyond words."
