Lesson Title: Nuestro tiempo libre

Objective purpose
To be able to talk about hobbies and sports you like to do, using the
vocabulary from the chapter, the present progressive and the verb
estar.

The teacher will begin the class by reviewing the previous lesson and
Mi pasatiempo using it to start the theme of sports for the upcoming activity.

-The students will get into groups of two; they are going to talk about
the hobby or sport they like to practice:
-The students will communicate in Spanish and talk about the hobby or
sport they like to practice.
-How many days a week do they practice.
-Why they like this sport or hobby.
- The students will present their partner hobby or sport to the class.
 This will allow students to practice various parts of the vocabulary and
the grammatical structures in an authentic way while they practice the
language. The teacher will not correct students present.

Conclusion -The teacher will go over any common mistakes with the students from
(5 mins.) the presentations by writing out quotes from the students and asking the
class how that should be said.
-The teacher will remind students that the review is online and tell them
what the homework is.
HOMEWORK: Answer the questions in a paragraph about your ideal
vacation:
-Cul es tu hobby favorito?
-Qu haces este fin de semana?
-Quin en tu casa hace deporte?

Assessment The presentation will act as an informal assessment of the skills the
students have acquired. The homework will allow the teacher to make
corrections and give students feedback.
