To Whom It May Concern:

Cadence Williams was my student during her 10 week psychiatric/mental health nursing clinical
rotation last semester. As a clinical instructor/lecturer with fifty years experience in various
psych nursing areas, I have a unique opportunity to become acquainted with my students as
individuals. Since they're learning to use their own personalities as a therapeutic tool, I try to
help them get to know themselves more in depth and as members of a team on our four unit
inpatient facility. During our psych rotation, they also experience working with older adults,
pediatric therapy services, and intensive adult outpatient services. My goal for them is to
practice interpersonal relationship skills that can be generalized and applied to any nursing
endeavor they choose.

Cadence Williams' resume says it all. Add together her excellent education, her broad clinical
nursing experiences, her useful work experiences, her outstanding community involvement, and
her impressive certifications/skills and what do you get? Cadence. Except that's not her whole
story. She's definitely all those things listed under "Objective". particularly the "enthusiastic"
part. Cadence is actually the personification of focused energy. It I wanted my students to go
talk to seriously mentally ill patients, it was Cadence who said, "come on, let's go!" Not exactly
fearless, but pretty close. Cadence's personal and professional real life experiences have
prepared her to hit the ground running as a nurse perhaps more so than some of her peers.

Now the usual (but true) description of the strengths and attributes that Cadence will bring to
your organization: 1) a broad and in depth nursing knowledge base; 2) highly developed
technical/technology abilities; 3) excellent verbal/written communication skills and finally; 4) an
appreciation of the value of the continued application of evidenced-based nursing practice

Whichever healthcare organization is able to attract Cadence to their team will see immediate
positive outcomes. Fellow nurses seem to gravitate towards Cadence --- not just because of
her healthcare experience and can-do attitude, but because her leadership style is rather sunny
and actually fun! Don't be put off by her "model-like" appearance when you interview her.
Cadence deserves to be taken very seriously as a healthcare practitioner and future leader of
our profession. Cadence is embarking on her grand adventure with her unique combination of
strong character and warm-heartedness. You will never regret making her the newest member
of your team.

Sincerely,

Susan Markovich, RN, MSN
