We did not tried out the River Cruise and I too was equally excited
and interested after reading Steve's Travelogue.

Day 1:-
Boarded Train No:12077 (Dep 07:00 Hrs Chennai Central) . Reached Ongole Jn at 11:12
am.

Got Auto to Ongole Bus stand ( 30 Rs- 20 Minutes Ride)

Got APSRTC Bus to Markapuram ( Around 3 Hours Ride) and Buses are there 15 minutes
once in Day time.

Got APSRTC Bus from Markapuram to Srisalam at 15:00 Hrs.

Reached Srisailam Busstand at 18:00 Hours (From Dornala onwards forested Ghat road
Starts ).

Booked online the Devasthanam Cottage for 2 Days well in advance . 600 INR/Day Non
A/C with 2 Bathrooms and No T/V and No Hotwater.

Day 2:-
Visited Srisailam Temple . 50 Rs and 100 Rs queue takes you to Deity in less than
10 minutes whereas "Free Queue" around 1 1/2 - 2 Hours.

Walked for 1.5 Kms from temple and reached the spot from where WINCH facility is
there to Visit Padalaganga . 50 INR /PP

Hired a Jeep and visited all the tourist spots of Srisalam like Sakshi Ganapathi
Temple etc. Around 200 INR for the Jeep.

ONLY best Restaurant in Srisailam is APTDC's Haritha Restaurant. We tried different

hotels but found this to be Hygenic, Tasty and with nice ambience.

Day 3:-
Boarded Vijayawada Bound bus from Srisailam Bus stand . Semi Deluxe Bus . Started
at 5:50 am and Reached Vijayawada at around 13:00 Hrs and it took Dornala-Guntur
Route.
Vijayawada Busstand has A/C Lounges where one can pay 10 INR and can take rest in
these lounges and it has T/V .
Boarded Bhadrachalam Bus from Vijayawada Bus stand at 14:00 Hours and reached
Bhadrachalam at 19:00 Hrs.
Forgot the lodge name and it's just opposite to Bus stand and it's 1000 INR/Night
for A/C double bed room with TV and Hot water

Day 4:-
Visited Bhadrachalam Temple (1.5 Kms from Bus stand)and it's 20 INR in Auto.
Hired Auto to Visit Parnasala (300 Rs for whole Auto and autowallah wait for 2hours
at parnasala). Parnasala Temple premises is very small and it can be covered with
ease in Plain 15 minutes. Boating possible in Godavari River and just they take
across the river to Show Rama's path (Not sure on this as we did not tried out )
and return to the other end ( 45 Minutes to 60 Minutes total).

Day 5:-
Boarded Vijayawada Bound APSRTC Super-Luxury bus at 13:30 Hours and reached
Vijayawada bus stand at 16:00 Hours.
Boarded Circar Express (Train #17644) Dep: Vijayawada Jn 20:45 Hours . Arr: Chennai
Egmore 06:15 Hours the next Day.
