5.0 DAPATAN / PEMERHATIAN


5.1 STRENGTHS
5.1.1 There is only 1 candidate who scored As.
5.1.2 The percentage of passes is 49.81 % with GP 4.88
5.1.3 Overall, the result was slightly increased from the mid- year examination
5.1.4 Most students attempted to answer all sections.
5.1.5 Most students were able to score quite good in Section B for information transfer.

5.2 WEAKNESSES
5.2.1 There were still some students who did not write any answers for question 6 and 7. Mostly,
they copied the questions again (3 Merbau and 3 Meranti)
5.2.2 Students were still unable to write their own sentences for question J. They loved to copy the
whole sentences from the text. They could only gain minimal marks for that particular section.
5.2.3 Those students who rarely come to school unable to write answer for literature part as they
did not read the novel and understand the poem.
5.2.4 Students need more practices (question 1, 2, 3 and 4)

6.0 STRATEGI (INTERVENTION PROGRAMME)


Grow With Grammar: to build up students proficiency in the language part of the written
essays and also question 1 (error identification)
Modules on various types of essays will be given to students for intensive practice and as
guidance especially for Balau, Cendana and Cengal
Intensive exercises on question 1-5, whereby students, especially of low proficiency, are
given intensive training in answering the questions to get the minimal passing marks.
Zero To Hero: Drill and practice on answering comprehension questions precisely. (Question
3 and 4)
More emphasis on ways to answer the writing section, especially the lower and middle
proficiency group. (English Workshop 0n 28 September 2017)
