In my point of view I think that volunteer generally considered that you surfed where an
individual or a group in a society. It helps for me to improve my quality of life. Its good
opportunity to take a part in society and prove myself. I think that in volunteer service I
communicate different people.

Introduction of VIS program

In order to manage volunteers effectively, you must:

Understand why the organization involves volunteers
Know how volunteers fit in with the overall structure of the organization
Be committed to the involvement of volunteers
Know what motivates people to volunteer and to stay
Match the right volunteers with the volunteer opportunities
Validate the contribution that volunteers make
Build a team which values the contribution made by all members
Ensure the efficiency of the service at the same time as meeting the needs of volunteers

Short Summary activities:

First day assistant manager of human resource gave introduction of Akhuwat. What is the vision
and mission of Akhuwat? Who is the founder of Akhuwat? The history of Akhuwat founder.
How idea came in his mind to create Akhuwat? In 2nd day I learned about how Akhuwat worked
in interest free program. What is the criteria the provide loan to poor people and non-Muslims.
In 3rd day I visit Akhuwat cloth bank how they worked. Clothes are collected from the well-to-do
families, they are repaired, they are washed / dry cleaned and then they are packed. The packed
cloth is then given as a gift to the needy individual. In 4th day I learned about HR department
worked. Every year how they appraised their employees.In 5thI learned about Microfinance
Products:-

Marriage loan

In 6th Day I read about Akhuwatka Safar. This book is told me about the Safar of Dr.
AmjadSaqib in Akhuwat. Its very heart touching. In 7thDay I visit Akhuwat Health service.
Akhuwat Health aims to serve the poor through affordable, efficient and effective health care
services Health facilities based on prevention, cure and rehabilitation of the diseased from low to
middle income groups through establishment of clinics, medical centers and promotion of
linkages with other health services providers.In 8th Day I visit PWTD (Punjab Welfare Trust for
the Disabled). This told usthe major function is to improve the quality of life of the members of
society with disability, through provision of monetary and technical assistance to NGOs all over
the Punjab. The aim with which the Trust was established was to help individuals suffering from
mental, physical, visual, hearing and speech disability.In 9th day I visit AISEM (Akhuwat
Institute of Social Enterprise & Management) and met Miss Alina (Program Coordinator
internship) she taught me about this program. AISEM specializes in the provision of customized
trainings which are based upon comprehensive training need analysis bridged with the needs and
requirements of the concerned organization.In 10 day I visit Fountain house and learned about
how they worked. It was created to relieve the loneliness and stigma that affect so many people
who are living with serious mental illnesses, like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major
depression. I met Miss Saima Program coordinator who worked for KhwajaSiras and met
KhwajaSiraTahzeeb they told me about this program. How its helpful for KhwajaSiras.In 11
day I visit Roshani I met the members of management and friends (who mentally ill). I worked in
bakery workshop with their friend and head of this workshop. In 12th day I attend the session of
Sir kashifAfzal. He taught me about Inner peace. How its satisfied our soul.In 13th day I attend
session Sir ZafarAsad (Rabbt). He discuss about the identity of my and human feel other pain its
selfish or selfless. I visit three branches of Akhuwat Mughal Pura, YateemKhana and Data
Darbar.In 14th Day I attend session Sir Imran Sarwar. He discuss about time management and
stress. I visit community in 5 houses at YateemKhana. These five houses told about their life
before joining to Akhuwat and after the Akhuwat. Every moment they Thankful to ALLAH that
gave a lot blessings in their lifes.In this Day I visit community and took one house. In this house
I spend 4 hours with these house members and make tea or other thing for these house members.
In this house I worked like as honor of this house. In last day I write letter to Dr. Amjjadsaqib to
expressed my feeling what I learned in Akhuwat and in future what I do for society. I also write
letter to me in future where I want to stand.

Lesson learnt
In this service I learnt every member of organization is very polite or humble to their borrowers,
to their interns, to their employees and other organizations. In this organization I learnt about
qard-e-hasana as a viable model and a broad based solution for poverty alleviation and in future I
promote this model that more help in poverty. I learnt about the spirit of brotherhood,
compassion and volunteerism. In this service I learnt that we also promote to help also non-
Muslim because its a part of our society and they have a right to live in healthy life. And our
Islam also taught about that we helped Non-Muslim. I learnt about that use of religious places,
such as mosques, such as churches and temples, as centers for loan disbursements and avenues
for community participation.
