RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.
Seesaw is a digital portfolio for students. The application allows students to post assignments, comments, and discussions to a page
like a profile. Students are members of their class so they can see the posts of other students in their class as well as the teacher.
The teacher has the ability to approve every post before it is live so they can monitor what is happening on the class page. Seesaw
also has a separate application for parents and family members so that they are able to see their students posts/work as well as the
teachers posts and notifications. Parents are notified whenever their students makes a post and they are able to respond or comment
to the posts.

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote student-centered learning?
I think Seesaw would be great for posting assignments that may be a frequent reflection in class. Students can use seesaw to post a
reflection from the week in class which is assigned by the instructor weekly. Then, once students post teachers can give them
points for posting, students can respond and learn from each other, and the teacher has a grasp of how well the week went as far as
achieving objectives. Also, Seesaw is a great resource for posting reminders to students and their families about upcoming
assignments etc.

Seesaw would be rated a 2. It definitely enhances a lesson and increases engagement. Seesaw allows students to take a lot of
control in their learning and to be able to learn from their classmates ideas. Seesaw is definitely used directly by the student and
has a lot of student control.
