RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

Voice-Thread is a totally web-based application that allows you to place collections of media like images,
videos, documents, and presentations at the center of an asynchronous conversation. A VoiceThread allows
people to have conversations and to make comments using any mix of text, a microphone, a web cam, a
telephone, or uploaded audio file. Voice-Thread runs inside your web browser, so there is no software to
download, install, or update.

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote students presentation/speaking/communication skills?

I feel as though I would use this specific type of program when making podcast, so students could even add images to their
projects. Or, I could even have students use this program in the beginning of the year to create and About Me project and have
them present it to the class VIA voice-thread.

Based on the value-added rating scale above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
I would probably rate this application a 2 on the value-adding rating scale.
Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.
I rated Voice-Thread a 2 out of three because it is likely to increase the students engagement, but I am not sure if it could be used
multiple times before the students become frustrated with using the application. Also I do not know if I would be using it often,
but the student would directly be using it, although lessons would not be impossible without this program.
