The college that I want to attend is UNCC.

One of the reasons why I believe UNCC is the

best choice for me is due to its location. UNCC is located at 9201 University City Blvd,

Charlotte, NC 28223, which is roughly 6 minutes from my house. I wont have to get an

apartment because I can stay with my parents and go to school without worrying about paying a

high rent. Being so close to my house, I can easily access the campus library, do my assignments

at the library and most important of all, always arriving on time for class.

Another factor is the cost. For a student that lives in the state like me, the tuition for 12

credits or more is $34,486. Even for my family, thats too much to handle. To resolve that issue,

I plan on enlisting in the military once I receive my Associate from the Cato Middle College. I

met with Richard Nash who is in charge of the ROTC program at UNCC. He explained in details

the benefits of joining the ROTC program at UNCC. Two of those benefits were that I wouldnt

need to pay for my education and another one would be that once finishing my bachelor at

UNCC I would join the military as an officer( a rank that takes 6 years to achieve).

The culture at UNCC is very dense and lively. My sister is currently attending UNCC and

has been telling me about the many activities that the university provides for the student. One of

my favorites was the international festival. The ability to allow cultures from all over the world

show their culture makes me want to attend UNCC even more.

One of my fears is being in a crowded classroom. Looking at UNCCs student classroom

ratio, I was able to feel more reassured. For undergraduates, the average classroom size is 33 but

thats usually the case when taking general requirement classes. The class size reduces

depending on what major you take and on what degree youre looking for.
To get accepted into UNCC, a considerable unweighted GPA is 3.2 which I dont think

will be a problem. My SAT needs to be in the range of 1130-1280 and my ACT needs to be

between 22 and 27. I plan on pursuing computer engineering, which is one of the very

competitive majors at UNCC. I need to have an above average score to be able to get accepted.

Right now I need to work on my SAT score.

The education level at UNCC is more than satisfying. The university has many well

know professor that are experts in their fields. UNCC also has plenty of hands-on labs to really

help kinesthetic learners like me. To me, UNCC feels like the right fit, I enjoy the atmosphere

and the education that it provides. It has many resources to help students who are struggling in

certain courses. That means that the university tries its best to help many of its students graduate

and be ready to go into the workforce.
