‘These measurements were made on Agfa glass plates, 0.19 inch thick, with spectroscopic emulsion type APX
Panchromatic, developed in D-19 at 68° F for 3 minutes with continuous agitation. These photographic plates
Were exposed on a multicollimator camera calibrator using a white light source rated at approximately $200K.

‘The values and parameters for Calibrated Focal Length (CFL), Symmetric Radial Distortion
(Ko.Ki,K2,K3,K4), Decentering Distortion (P),P2,Ps,P4), and Calibrated Principal Point [point of symmetry]
(Xp) were determined through a least-squares Simultaneous Multiftame Analytical Calibration (SMAC)
adjustment. The x and y-coordinate measurements utilized in the adjustment of the above parameters
have a standard deviation (6) of +3 microns,

IIL Lens Resolving Power in eveles/mm
Area-weighted average resolution: 86
Field angle: or 75° 15° 22.77 30" 35" 40°
Radial Lines 113. 95-80-8095 8D
Tangential Lines 139595 9S BO BBO
The resolving power is obtained by photographing a series of test bars and examining the resultant image
\with appropriate magnification to find the spatial frequency of the finest pattern in which the bars can be
‘counted with reasonable confidence. The series of patterns has spatial frequencies from 5 to 268 eycles/mm
in a geometric series having a ratio of the 4th root of 2. Radial lines are parallel to a radius from the center of
the field, and tangential lines are perpendicular to a radius.
IV. Filter Parallelism
‘The two surfaces of the Jena 405 filter No. 275577, the 490 filter No. 275589 and the 530 filter No. $1934
accompanying this camera are within 10 seconds of being parallel. ‘The 490 filter was used for the
calibration,

accurate within 3 percent, ‘The technique used is described in Intemational Standard ISO 516:1999(E),
VI. Magazine Platen
‘The platens mounted in Jena LMK-K 24/120 film magazines Nos. 271906 and 271908 do not depart from a
true plane by more than 13 jm (0.0005 in).
‘The platens for these film magazines are equipped with identification markers that will register "27190
magazine No, 271906 and "271908" in magazine No. 271908 in the data strip area for each exposure.

Zoya X12 mo‘There are three distortion plots included with this Report of Calibration: symmetric radial
distortion, decentering distortion, and total lens distortion (the sum of the first two
distortions). The vectors in the plots show the amount of correction (as computed using
the K and P coefficients from Section II of the Report of Calibration) to be added to a
‘measurement on a photo to minimize error due to lens distortion. The grid has a spacing
of approximately one centimeter across the photographic area resulting in a 22 x 22
matrix of distortion vectors. The matrix has been trimmed to those points falling within
the boundaries defined by the fiducials and by the calibration limit at the 40 degree field
angle (about 130mm radially out from the photo center). The fiducials and 40 degree
field angle limits are also annotated on the plot for clarification. The calibration of this
camera is valid only within these limits.OSL-3413
