RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
With Pear Deck, each student in your class will connect to your presentation on any device, answer your
interactive questions, and learn from their peer while closely engaged! Pear Deck works like any slide
presentation program youre used to. In fact, you can even import your old PowerPoints, Google Slides, and
PDFs to turn them into powerful interactive Pear Decks right from your Google Drive.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PRESENTATION


How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote students presentation/speaking/communication skills?

Pear Deck is super cool because it basically vamps up regular powerpoint presentations. You can get interaction from students in
answering questions, and giving feedback in your presentations as well. I think that this will make lesson plans that are
presentation-based and informative, somewhat interesting as well.

I think that this technology would be able to receive a 3 on the value-added rating because it really is an innovative and lesson-
changing plan. It really transforms a presentation in a way that would be hard to replicate using another technology or
presentation. I also think that it really engages student interaction in lessons in that they are moreso involved.
