Instructions for a Volunteer

Supervising the mini lesson center

You may choose to play the video or have the students write their name on a notecard to open
upper and lower-case letter discussion.
Provide students with examples of upper and lower-case letters. If students want to share some
ideas, then you may let two-three students share.
Play musical letter with the students.
o Instructions on how to play
The teacher will form a circle with the letters cards.
The students will then form a circle around the letters, when instructed.
The teacher will play a song and when the song stops, the students will freeze.
The students will wait on the teacher to call upon them to answer whether the
letter is upper or lower-case.
The student will respond.
The process is repeated multiply times.

The students will now independently write two examples of upper and lower-case letter.
Please summarize upper and lower-case letters with your group.
