Fashion is one of the basic human needs besides food and boards. Fashion is needed by

everyone, both men and women. In this modern era, many people are fond of fashion and are

always up to date to follow fashion trends. So fashion can indirectly become a feature of

modern lifestyle. Hence, today fashion is widely present and easy to find in shops, malls,

boutiques and markets. Fashion fans are pretty much, especially women. But with

technological developments many women are beginning to be interested in shopping online for

various reasons; for example more practical, because of their busy schedule, they rarely have

time to shopping to the mall / store. For that reason, we present an online shop that allows

shoppers to shop at anytime and anywhere by providing the latest fashion that is not less

interesting with the products in the market. About our prices are also not inferior to the market.

The price we offer is consistent with the pockets of students and non-working housewives.

1.3 INDUSTRY PROFILE

Our company is characterized by tailor-made services we do business selling Muslim clothes

and garments. We also accept orders individually or in large groups. In the same time we also

make a limited design of Kurta and we produce only for the occasion example Hari Raya

Aldilfitri. We also accept suit orders or blazers for any design and material.
LOCATION OF BUSINESS

Gates the Tailors is located at Kampung Batu Muda, 51100 Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory

of Kuala Lumpur. The location is strategic because it is at the center of a housing where there

are mosque and condominium . This way our company will be easily recognizable and attentive

to public because the traffic front of the shop is very heavy then this road is also the main road

of workers from Kuala Lumpur to return to Gombak or Batu Cave also that indeed they are our

main target.

1.5 FUTURE PROSPECTS OF THE BUSINESS

Once the business is financially stable, we plan to open other branches and expand our business

in whole country. Besides that, we would also like to improve and upgrade the quality of service

and workers to make customer more confident. Other than that, we also will cooperate with

non-governmental organizations to distribute sewn clothes to distribute to anyone in need. As

a conclusion, this business can help many parties in need and also adolescents who are keen on

earning income.
2.0 PURPOSE OF PREPARING BUSINESS PLAN

This business plan is prepared to upgrade the services in the company. Since this is a old

company, a guide is very important to assist us in understanding the new way of business which

is use online marketing or e-commerce site and the working components of the company. In

preparing this business plan, we have listed down the plans and strategies of the business in

order to achieve the companys goals.

5.0 BACKGROUND OF THE PROPOSED PROJECT

5.1 Physical location

Gates the Tailor is located at Lot 53, Kampung Batu Muda, 51100 Kuala Lumpur, Federal

Territory of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Generally, the premise is a shop house situated in a

housing area with many facilities nearby.

5.2 Price of premise

Since the premise is a commercial business premise owned by MARA, the rent is lower than

market rate. Expenses for the rent cost about RM200 per month.

5.3 Distance from the source of raw materials

We get the raw materials from suppliers around the Klang area. Our main supplier is Hassan

Tailoring Supplier which is located at Meru, Klang. The supplier always guarantees that the

materials are not faulty.

5.4 Availability of manpower

Since this business requires skilled workers, the search for available manpower needs to be

expanded to other areas. I plan to maintain the number of workers in the first year and search

for more staff from local training institutes in Gombak.


5.5 Transportation facilities

Customers can reach our premise by bus and taxi. The location is also convenient for our

supplier to deliver the raw materials.

5.6 Distance from customers

Our company is located 500 meters from the nearest school and housing area which makes it

very easy to frequent.

5.7 Basic amenities (electrical, water and telephone facilities)

Our office is completed with water and electricity supplies, Internet connection and telephone

lines. These basic amenities are provided in order for all workers to perform and accomplish

their jobs more efficiently and productively.

The organizational chart for our company is quite simple given that it contains only one level

of management. As the business grows, the levels of management and number of employees

may be increased.

Gates the Tailor has one manager and two experienced tailors to manage and execute the

operations of the business as shown in table.

responsibilities have been identified and will be delegated to the respective individual to ensure

the smooth operation of the business.

6.5 Remuneration Plan

For our company, we have chosen the EPF scheme to be given to all employees. The table

show illustrates the remuneration plan for each employee in Gates the Tailor.

6.5.1 Salary

Basic wage or salary will be paid in cash as stipulated in the employment contract. Wages will

be paid once a month to the workers and the payment will be paid at the end of the month. The

salary will be debited to their accounts on the 27th of every month. Any increment in wages

will be given to all employees based on their qualification and working experience.

6.5.2 EPF and SOCSO contributions

EPF contribution will be deducted from all workers salaries. The company will also contribute

to SOCSO which is 2% of the workers basic salary.

6.5.3 Working hours

Every employee who works in Gates the Tailor has to work for nine hours a day, starting from

1.00 am until 8.00 pm every Monday to Friday. Lunch hour is from 12.30 pm until 1.30 pm.

6.5.4 Medical allowance

Medical allowance will be provided in the event of illness.

6.5.5 Maternity benefits

Female employees are entitled to 60 days maternity leave for every confinement period.

Allowance is not given to employees who have more than five surviving children.
6.5.6 Insurance

Insurance coverage will be given to all workers, the premises or buildings bought or rented as

well as all means of transportation.

6.5.7 Bonus

Bonus will be paid depending on the tailors job performance.

6.5.8 Compensation and benefits to workers

Compensation and benefits are given to workers to improve their performance and job

satisfaction.

6.5.9 Holidays

All workers are entitled to have at least two rest days that is on Saturday and Sunday every

week.

6.5.10 Annual leave and sick leave

Each worker will be given an annual leave of 16 days. In terms of sick leave, the medical

certificate has to approve by a registered medical practitioner. If an employee is hospitalized,

he/she is entitled to 60 days of sick leave whereby his wages will still be paid. But if the

employee is hospitalized more than 60 days, his/her wages will not be paid.

6.7 Administration budget
