Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Natural Resources investment banking group is looking for an associate to join the team in Sydney. Experience in Natural Resources banking is preferred, but not
mandatory.

The Natural Resources Group is a globally-integrated team with a network of offices in the Americas (New York, Houston, Toronto, Calgary, Buenos Aires), EMEA
(London, Frankfurt, Johannesburg) and Asia-Pacific(Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth), among others. The group covers Energy, Metals & Mining,
Agriculture & Chemicals and Power & Infrastructure and Utilities.

Investment Banking associates at Goldman Sachs gain exposure to the firms global presence, breadth of businesses and expanded knowledge of the investment
banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communications, marketing and sales skills. Associates create and analyse financial models, performing scenario
analyses and tests to examine the effects of client alternatives. In addition, associates organize and prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, discuss
client options, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Associates may also participate in and conduct due diligence sessions, a necessary component of
financial transactions. From maintaining client communication to helping Goldman Sachs structure client transactions, our associates are a vital part of Goldman
Sachs banking teams.

Goldman Sachs is looking for highly motivated, successful candidates for this NR associate position in Sydney.

Basic Qualifications
Strong performer, currently eligible for a transfer to / mobility in Sydney
At least 4 years of corporate finance experience required (whether in IBD classic or the financing group, or previously at a corporate or an investment bank outside
the firm)
Natural resources banking and transaction experience preferred but not mandatory
Candidate must have completed an undergraduate degree

Preferred Qualifications
Strong quantitative and technical abilities
Strong teamwork-orientation and ability to manage junior bankers
Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities
Strong communications, multi-tasking and time management skills
An outstanding academic record
