This article is about how peer review can help students when it comes to the writing process. It
addresses how much time passes between peer review and revising can affect the overall writing
process. It also talks about how what type of comments are most useful when it comes to reviewing
another persons paper, and what are considered to be ineffective comments. While this article is
for more high-level students, the information could be used by any teacher at any grade level. The
reader could then adjust to meet the level of their students. The article could be very useful to the
teaching community as a whole. While it is a large amount of information, the information it
provides is very detailed and useful.

Peer Feedback Features Affect Students' Implementation Rate and Quality of

Annotation:
This article explains what students typically do with the feedback they receive from the revisions
that the person reviewing their work expresses. It discusses different strategies and what type of
feedbacked worked and what didn't. When reviewing a paper it is important to praise on what they
did well, but don't make it where the things they did well are emphasized so much that they
overestimate their performance. You should make sure to include solutions to the revisions and
make sure that you specify the location where the revision took place. This article would be useful
for teachers and students when starting to teach useful techniques to use when giving feedback,
while you are reviewing a peer's work for their revisions. This is a great source to read over too
look at steps to give a good review on a piece of work. It goes into detail and explains the steps
you can take to ensure that the person receiving your feedback will do the revisions. It is a lengthy
source so I would recommend a teacher to read the first page to get the steps that are discussed in
the article.

This article focuses on how most students respond to the peer review process and talks about key
strategies a teacher can use when teaching the peer review process. The intended audience for this
article would be teachers that are having trouble with students understanding why they have to do
the peer review. The purpose of this article is to inform teachers how most students feel when they
have to do a peer review. This article is also about the importance of peer review and how peer
review will help the student grow as a writer and ways to incorporate questions to help them with
the process. This is very effective if the teacher wants some fast key strategies on how to make sure
she teaches the important parts of peer review and makes sure she doesn't leave anything out. If i
was a teacher looking at this article i would definitely look at the Key strategies first. After reading
the key strategies and the bullet points underneath i would go back to the top and read the rest of
the article.

Cindy Sherman and Susan De La Paz explain the three components of FIX; a self-regulated
metacognitive strategy used to assist students in the revision process. This technique is aimed
towards upper elementary teachers or those working in the educational field, this may also include
those working in the Special Education department as it mentions students with disabilities. The
writer's purpose is to educate teachers oh the FIX strategy by giving detailed information and
examples of how to incorporate this strategy into a lesson based on revision of different writing
genres and forms. The informational form and language of the article is positive, encouraging,
and well planned. This article is an excellent informative source for upper Elementary teachers
who are searching for a way to encourage their students to transition from making minuscule edits
to their writing to reflecting and making meaningful changes. Its a quick an easy read which is
great for teachers who need to make changes quick.

This site gives 4 different ways to teach revision in the classroom. Some of the strategies include
adding and taking away words, rearranging phrases, or providing models. This sites audience is
primarily for teachers and other educators. The audience of this article would be any grade level
teacher that needs to find different strategies for revision. This source would be better for a teacher
who has already mastered the material, and is knowledgeable about revision.

This page on TEACH Magazines website describes different tips on how to teach revision in the
classroom. These tips are mainly about revising to change the mood of the piece, as well as
mentioning other keys to revision such as voice and organization. This site would benefit readers
who are teachers, and need to find a way to implement this concept quickly. I believe that the
article can be effective if it is used to enrich current knowledge on revision, but would be
ineffective if used without current knowledge.

The lesson plan created by Jadyn Thone will introduce students in grade 7th- 12th to the peer
review process by showing examples and defining how to correctly complete a peer review. The
lesson will encourage students to make meaningful peer reviews that will help to improve their
revisions. This lesson is beneficial to upper grade students as the language and format of the lesson
is easy to follow and allows for student interaction as well an opportunity to discuss any questions
they may have. The lesson also encourages students to complete peer reviews while also making
sure to give compliments where deserved. This is important as it will help to avoid the writers
feelings being hurt and to avoid having students shut down when they feel they have completed a
poorly written paper.

The lesson plan created by Room 213 is an activity that will introduce students to the revision
process that they will have to do when writing essays. This lesson plan is intended for students in
grades 7th - 12th. The lesson will be an activity where students will have a certain amount of
stations that they will have to go through with their rough draft and revise it as needed. I believe
that this lesson will be very effective in helping students learn how to revise a paper. I think
teachers should definitely try using this activity when introducing the revision process.

This lesson color coordinates different revisions with a different color, red is punctuation, blue is
spelling, green is correct format, orange is leads and endings, and purple is descriptive words. The
students will have access to a chart that tells them what to look for in every group, and to use that
color to mark that correction. This assignment can be used for multiple grade levels. I feel that
teachers will find this activity useful because it has all the possible revisions separated by a
different color, that way all the student would have to do is change the error by looking at the
anchor chart that tells you what it is.
