for the next three years.

CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.


The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for
using telecommunications and information technology to
improve education services.

Describe teachers' current access to instructional technology


and current use of digital tools.

1. What technology is currently available to all


teachers?

Laptops, , Windows XP, printers, , document cameras,


Speakers, Smart Boards (for a few Classroom), classroom
phones, Tablets (For GT and Special Education Teachers),
Projectors, Teacher notebook system

2. How are hardware and software currently being used


in classrooms at each grade level and in each content
area?

Each classroom computer is connected to the active directory


server.All staff has an access to the new school database
(skyward) to keep student personal information, grades and
attendance. K-2 grades are using Go Math Software for Math
instruction, Interactive Journeys for English. They are also
using My On, Sum dog, IRead, code.org, learning.com,
Istation, ALEKS, Reasoning Minds and Study Island.

Describe students' current access to instructional technology


and current use of digital tools. Include a description about the
LEA policy, practices, and/or replacement policy that ensures
equitable technology access for all students.
1. Is technology currently available for all students?

Yes, currently all students has an access to internet.

2. How is technology used to extend the school day


for students and to make learning resources
available during after school hours?

Core subject teachers are doing after school tutorials. During this
times students are using Chromebooks for their assignments. Also
computer labs in this school are available to use in after school time
for the students. After school Program Company is also using IPads,
Chromebook from the school to give opportunity for the students to
search about their homework and projects.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual


activities, for using technology to improve teaching and
learning. Describe how these goals align to the LEA's
curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe
how the LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and
whether future funding proposals or partnerships may be
needed for successful implementation.

1. How will technology be used to create more


powerful learning experiences to improve student
academic achievement?
a. Science teachers are giving PBL projects. Students are
using devices with internet connection such as
computers, laptops, iPad etc. to find out the information
they need for their PBL.
b. English and Math teachers have lab classes. Such as
Reading lab or Math lab. Students are using technology
(Chromebooks)during this these hours for working on
their software application like Aleks , MyOn etc.
c. Technology teachers have computer for each student.
Students are able to implement their projects in this
class.
d. Even non-core subjects teachers have chance to use
Chromebooks in their classes to practice their
curriculum.

2. Are targets for improvement in students


achievement being met?
According to the students test results we can say yes.
Using technology into education helped students to
learn more and effectively. So they met with their golas.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual


activities, to address Internet Safety and the appropriate and
ethical use of technology in the classroom.

1. How and when will teachers and/or librarians help


students acquire Internet safety skills?

In this school technology teachers and librarians are


responsible to give Internet safety information to students.
They are also charge all students devices. When they have
a problem with technological devices, they need to ask the
responsible teacher. Class teachers help students if they
have problems to reach the websites etc. But other than
that technology teachers are responsible to find out wat is
the problem in the device.

2. How will teachers be trained to deliver Internet


safety and ethical use content?

This school district is organizing PD days for their


teachers before the school years start to train them for
updated Microsoft program and internet safety.
Teachers learning enough information about safety and
ethical use of internet rules for students and also for
teachers. Teachers have limitation while using school
devices. (laptops. Cellphones etc)
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT
The Plan must have a professional development strategy to
ensure that staff understands how to use these new
technologies to improve education services

Summary of the teachers' and administrators' current
technology proficiency and integration skills and needs for
professional development.

1. Are administrators able to support teachers with the


integrating of technology into daily curriculum?

Modeling technology usage is key if administrators want


teachers to play an active role in technology integration. In this
school Administrator are very supportive for implementing
technology into education. They are encouraging their
teachers to improve themselves for latest educational
technologies. They also wants to learn which technology
program teachers want to use.

2. What do teachers and administrators consider as


their needs for professional development?

Teacher wants to teach more with the technology. They


just want to be more flexible to use technology in their
class. Due to research all school staff need the
professional development based on how to use technology
in teaching. They also wants to learn about the software
which they have been asked to use by Central Office.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual


activities, for providing professional development opportunities
based on your LEA needs assessment data and the
Curriculum Component of the plan.

1. What professional learning will be available so


teachers and administrators can make informed
decisions using data to meet individual student
academic needs?

Cluster coordinators, Coaches or Central Office Directors are


training for teachers and admin team to learn what they need
to do to meet individual students academic needs.

2. What professional learning will be available so


teachers and administrators can effectively use
technology to assist with student assessment?
Cluster central offices are providing PD sections to help their
teachers and administration about how to use Technology and
how they can help their students to use technology in correct
and more efficient way. In this school district all core subject
has their coaches. Coaches are helping the teachers
understand and use the technology in their classes.

INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT,


SOFTWARE, AND ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT
CRITERIA
The Plan must include an assessment of the
telecommunication services, hardware, software, asset
management, and other services that will be needed to improve
education services.

Describe the existing hardware, Internet access, electronic


learning resources, technical support, and asset management
already in the LEA that will be used to support the Curriculum
and Professional Development Components of the plan.

1. What technologies are available to facilitate


home/school communication such as email,
webpages, and voice mail?

All staff has their own school email to communicate with their
parents, coworkers, and staff. School also using school reach
messages, weekly announcements email etc. for the parents.
Parents can reach for school staff by using email or phone
calls.

2. What technology access do parents have at home?


What technologies do parents prefer for
home/school communications?
Most of the parents prefer the use email. They are
feeling more convenient to use email. A few parents
using phone calls to share their concerns. School
website is also available and always updated for parent
to use. All parents also have family access in Skyward
to track their child progress.

Describe the technology hardware, electronic learning


resources, networking and telecommunications infrastructure,
physical plant modifications, technical support, and asset
management needed by the LEA's teachers, students, and
administrators to support the activities in the Curriculum and
Professional Development components of the plan.

1. What technology is needed to implement the


Curriculum and Professional Development
components for students and staff?

Each student should have opportunity to use smart board in


each class. Other than that if each classroom will have enough
Chromebook they will have enough technology to implement
the curriculum. On the other hand, it will be great if every class
will get their IPad sets.

2. How will parents and community members be able


to access school information from home
computers?

School website www.hseelpaso.org giving opportunity to


parents and other to get enough information about school.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION COMPONENT


The plan must include an evaluation process that enables the
school to monitor progress toward the specific goals and make
mid-course corrections in response to new developments and
opportunities as they arise.

Describe the process for evaluating the plan's overall progress


and impact on teaching and learning.

1. How will the LEA know whether implementation of


this plan has made a positive impact on teaching
and learning?

State test, District test , curriculum based test etc. can


give the needed data for evaluating the plan. Also teacher
observation should give data to figure out if the plan works.

2. Who will participate in the monitoring and


evaluating process?
Principal, AP academics, Coaches, Coordinators, district
Superintendents, IT Manager. After evaluation, participants
prepare a report and explain the results.

Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan


implementation, including a description of the process and
frequency of communicating evaluation results to tech plan
stakeholders.

1. How often will data be collected and summarized? Who


is responsible?

Data will be collected and summarized year by year. The first


responsible person is school principal with other admin.

2. How will teachers, parents, and other stake holders


provide suggestions and opinions in the evaluation
process?

Every end of quarter school sends progress report cards to


parents. Parents can reach teachers via email or phone. They may
request a meeting to talk about their child academic progress.
Stakeholders may ask a meeting to discuss suggestions and
opinions for evaluating.
