1. In the space below construct an equilateral triangle of side 6cm and a triangle of side lengths 5cm, 3cm and 4 cm using
compasses and a ruler only. You must show all construction lines.

6. Two radio transmitters are positioned at point A and B. Transmitter A has a range of 40km. Transmitter B has a range
of 50km. Using a scale of 1cm to 10km indicate the region where the transmissions overlap.

8. Points C and D indicate the positions of two ice cream sellers on a beach. The people on the beach will only go to the

away from the house and 4m from the tree. Indicate the region that she could plant her new bush.
